I cant enable image sharpening in Nvidia control panel?
I see a lot of YT videos and posts saying that it makes a big difference but for me the option is greyed out? How do I enable it?

Update your drivers. It hasn't been listed as "Sharpening" on the settings tab for a few releases, it's now under "Image Scaling". Also I believe if you're running your desktop at a resolution above your monitor's native (you have DSR enabled) the option is grayed out.

You have to pick a 'layer' (or whatever they call it) from the drop down menu on the right side after pressing Alt-F3; in essence it's a profile for the game to save those settings for future use.

i figured it out, you have to enable the option in the global settings before you can use it on independant games.

Image Sharpening was removed from control panel since version 496.76. So you can use sharpening in Geforce Experience or in Nvidia control panel via Image Scaling. But these are not the same sharpenings as in 496.49 and older.

Technically they not removed it from Nvidia control panel. It's still hiding there even on new versions. If you want good old Image sharpening then change 1 parameter in Windows Registry Editor:

1. run "run" as administrator, type "regedit" and hit enter
2. find path: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\nvlddmkm\FTS
3. change EnableGR535=1 to EnableGR535=0

I'm on 511.79 and it work. Sorry for bad English.
