60 FPS cap??

Why the actual F would you cap the game at 60 FPS? It's absolutely disgusting to play a game that's locked on 60 fps on a 144hz or above monitor, which are pretty common nowadays. Is there any legitimate reason for that cap? Because I can't play the game without getting eye cancer in 2022

guess you can't be bothered to check your system config settings...
and if you can't do that, i doubt you'll build garrisons, or ping threats, or basically be a useful team player

Hahaha lol, I did actually check that and change it all the time, but it automatically goes back to 60 anyway. After 5 tries I gave up.

It is turned off. And yes there is a cap that you can even find in the game files, but changing it does nothing because it automatically reverts back to 60 when starting the game.

The game is not locked at 60fps. fps and hz are completely different metrics.

Quick Google Search to help you understand the different cause I'm tired of hearing I only get x FPS on my x hz monitor. Your monitor is only limited by your hardware. In this case it's a you problem not a game problem.

Monitor hertz is how frequently the monitor will refresh itself (per second) . Fps, frames per second is how many frames per second the video card can produce and send to the monitor.

Hz (refresh rate) does not affect FPS (frame rate) because Hz is your monitor's maximum refresh rate, and FPS is the number of frames your computer can generate. These are separate things. Your monitor can only show the frames that your computer sends it.

I know the difference between hertz and fps. Why does everybody here automatically assume I'm stupid? My problem is that the game is automatically locked at 60 FPS and there's no way in the options to change that. V-Sync is turned off and my GPU is a 3090, so it's not a hardware issue. My monitor also goes up to 165hz. It's really just this damn game that doesn't let me set the framerate limit at all in the settings. The game files also don't let me change it because it just goes back to 60 right after booting the game.
The insane mouse delay in the menu is giving me cancer already.

You can't figure out how to disable the frame-cap on your GFX control panel or windows display settings, then you go on to blame the game game about it.

Therefore you're blaming your tech support issues on software that doesn't have an impact on your fps limit, as there is no frame lock in game.

With this limited knowledge of your potential IQ, I went out on a limb to assume that you would likewise not be bothered to place down OPs or garrisons, if you're blaming your problem on an unrelated issue.

Well, even Escape from Tarkov runs extremely smoothly. Just this game is capped at 60 fps, at least in the main menu. I don't know if it's the same ingame since I didn't bother starting a match when the main menu is already so hard to look at. Some guys on reddit seem to have the same issue with no solution found so far.

By the way main menu is locked to 60 FPS to stop insane FPS and overworking gpu so don’t test it on main menu

Well, that's the most useful info I've gotten so far. I thought that may be the case, but didn't bother confirming it. Is there a way to at least get the main menu to be more responsive?
