Getting killed through walls working as intended?

Am i supposed to be getting killed through walls by explosions and bullets or is this something else that's broken???

When you are killed through walls, it is most often from a satchel which kills through every structure, trench, etc. within about 25 meters, regardless of how much cover you are behind. If not from a satchel, you may be clipping through the wall. When you go prone, you can stick half your body through a wall as you spin around and then be shot from the other side. It is best to avoid prone while inside a building and if you are prone, be very aware of where the rest of your body may be visible.

There is supposed to be bullet penetration, but it is pretty inconsistent as to when and where it works.

I get shot through stone and brick walls often. Concur with the inconsistent wall penetration observation.

certain weapons can shoot through wood which i have seen. im not sure about other materials.
