Loadout Overhaul
We should be able to customize our loadout to bring whatever gun or explosives the role allows us to carry, to be able to adapt to different situations much better. You know, like in every single shooter. These preset loadouts aren't very good as they force you into different playstyles.

Let's say, as an autorifleman, i want to take the FG42, but i also want to bring smoke grenades instead of frag grenades, or as Engineer, i want to bring the Grease Gun instead of the trench gun, along with satchels instead of grenades.

The unlocking of outfits should be tied to player level, just like the helmets, but at a higher level to better resemblence a player's experience level. Grinding for cosmetics for every single role isn't rewarding at all.

One more thing, facial animations for the soldiers, both ingame and the loadout menu.

No its class based so you can't just have what you want - this is not that sort of game.

Just no. Or we see such loadouts like - G43 with grenade pack, bar with 2 smoke and 2 frag grenade. Players just will be choose the most excel weapon from every loadout and we will see cancer. Do you want to play against AT soldiers with satchel, bazooka and SMG in one loadout? Or PTRS with ppsh and satchel. It will be very fun game.

That's not what i mean't, i still want classes to stay, i said pick the weapons THAT THE ROLE ALLOWS, not that you can use every explosive in one loadout, you can choose between Bazooka or satchel, and you can choose between Garand and Thompson.

I like the pre-defined loadouts - precisely because they are "not what every other shooter allows" - individual soldiers took their standard loads with very rare exceptions.

It is one big tick in favour of HLL IMO.

I would agree with you if the game still went down the "historically accurate" path but it's not, and devs don't care anymore about that

I'll take snippets of historical accuracy where I can.

And HLL is still streets ahead of hte likes of "Enlisted" where they have "accurate" tank and plane models that don't work, and every trooper can get a FG42, for example

Large numbers of the playerbase bought into that game though. Which is why a number of players try and push for a more historical focus in line with early advertising.

What the devs used to say....
We’re removing all the modern gameplay incentives that we feel focus the entire experience back onto the individual. How many kills can you get? What perks did you unlock? Which gun did you unlock? How do you build a team-play based game on a foundation in which all players actively want to succeed alone?

Surprisingly, the majority of infantry in World War Two were not sniper rifle wielding tank hunters. Each man was given a role, many of them in limited quantities with limited equipment and training.

This is teambased game, not invidual based. You take what is available and through communication try to do your best. Wrong game for you

having played a metric crap ton of Day of Defeat back in the day, i'm fine with 'locked' weapons based on classes. much more realistic, and it cuts down on "NOW EVERYONE IS USING THIS ONE COMBO!!" which turns into a slog of "nerf this, buff that" which never ends.

also, I'm not trying to play crapplefield or call of poopy.

Absolutely disagree with free loadout customization.
Every class should stick to it's role. The one shouldn't be a Rambo.
I do even think that there are too many automatic rifles in the game.
