Ask a friend to prone near a low wall, you will see, it's funny how he disappear !
Unless something changed, been awhile since played, the only off limit parts where the starter spawn points.
A locked point doesn't mean anything. You should be with a group unless you're a scout anyways, and even then there is two of you.
A few days ago, I was in the back trying to solo-build nodes (jump from supply to engineer and back), and before I got them all built, both of their sniper squads came back and killed the 2 guys on artty and me. I was mad, and tried to revenge kill them, but, they were able to camp our spawn to where we couldnt even turn or drop before they killed us. Even if we were able to spawn safely, they were good enough to kill us first. If we ever DID kill them, they had an OP close enough to come back and be killing us 2 minutes later. They spent the WHOLE FREKN GAME killing the 4 of us. Every now and then, 2-3 other guys would come help for a few minutes then bail. So, for almost a full hour, these "SUPER ELITE" recon squads were destroying 4 of us nubs. We won.
Moral of the story, weigh the pros and cons of any "Dev-Allowed" feature in the game. if the 4 of us nubs redeployed up to the front, with our sub-par skills (remember we couldnt kill these guys even in 4v1 situations) then the recon team would have moved up and shot our "Good" players. But, by staying back and being used as fodder, our team was able to win.
If you are being ambushed in a completely irrelevant part of the map, then they are either:
Being Super Productive (killing you, an elite flanker who almost killed their entire team)
or
Being Super Useless to their team (not helping them cap for the win)
You have 2 choices:
Continue to try and flank, and occupy their time so they stay out in BFE and not help their team
or
redeploy with your team and be useful in the cap...
