I've said this in numerous threads over the past days, but again the redeploy meta needs to change for the medic to become more valuable.
The redeploy button needs to go and the respawn timers at least need to be +100% for wounded soldiers.
The whole class system would benefit by that. If you really care about the class system go on discord and spam the Dev'S until they make changes to the respawn meta! At least we need a chance to get these changes on the PTS to be able to see how this would play out!
Otherwise the game will stay exactly how it is currently with a broken meta that's completely shifted towards offensive gameplay.
But seriously, Squad/Post Scriptums medics work better IMO. Medics having limited revives, capable combat weapons, and being the only players that can heal to 100% really help balance things. Also they should just merge the death timer with the bleed out timer so they are same, you just need to wait the 10+ seconds before you can respawn. this would give medics more time to revive players without them just instantly respawning.
It's also not a "medic doesn't ever revive!" issue to me. Whenever I play Medic, I try to communicate(when the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ VOIP is working) that I'm omw to revive and people almost always give up instantly. It's frustrating.
This exactly. I play medic a lot and I don't think it should be armed better or is useless entirely. Also, I don't complain I'm not revived constantly - this shouldn't happen, people should actually die most often. Whenever there is a medic nearby I get some help - I don't know what server do you play at but this can change your experience dramatically. Dragging wounded is nice idea, would make things even more immersive. I think medic now is most usefull during assault. When you stay a bit behind and keep momentum by rising wounded quickly without need to respawn.
I would add permanent killing with following shots. It's absurd that you can't kill someone and he gets revived in a minute.

Look at arty, look at spawn rates, look at manpower nodes. Now look at Medic.
Look at how many players you don't get to revive; and realize the ones you do revive do not make even the slightest mark in manpower. Medic could be removed from the game, revives along with it - and there would be practically no difference at all. Medic is just fat that should have been cut.
You like Medic because you assume it's useful because the game acts as though it is; putting it up there with Engineer, AT and all the others. But it is not useful, you do not revive enough, and you do not maintain enough momentum for your squad to be considered useful in that way either.
Still, if devs knew wtf they had made here; either everyone would be reviving, or no one would be reviving. Revives as they are; locked to Medic, doesn't make Medic useful enough, and doesn't have an impact on the outcome of a game.
When Jonno was here he used to say - "I think Medic is pretty powerful because it means you don't have to respawn and run back". Now I assume a bunch of you will agree with that.
Well Jonno never played the game. So agree all you want; every positive opinion of Medic is formed out of ignorance.
Not like any of it matters because the devs don't care that their game is an incoherent mess of miss matched mechanics.
