Enlisted vs. Hell Let Loose
I just recently played Enlisted for the first time. Though not exactly great, I still fear for the future of Hell Let Loose to be quite honest. This game could potentially eat Hell Let Loose's lunch.

As of right now, Enlisted is sort of janky and buggy. The animations aren't all the way there and I noticed some graphical glitches, however all those are fixable problems and from what I've seen the developers are far more assiduous in updating and fixing their game compared to the Hell Let Loose developers. Not only is Enlisted free, but there is far more content and customization and the updates are near-weekly.
What's amusing to me is the fact that Enlisted strives to be historically accurate despite the game itself being arcadey. You will find the correct regiments fighting in the correct settings with correct weapons and equipment. One of their most recent updates includes "Fixes for the “Battle of Berlin” campaign: The Panther F tank has been replaced with the Panther G". Of course, this would have been the Panther variant most used in the Battle of Berlin and there are numerous photos of knocked out Panther Ausf. G's in the aftermath of that battle. This is the kind of assiduousness I'm talking about.

It's pretty clear Hell Let Loose is going in a more "arcadey" direction these days. Well now not only is that going to turn off a lot of original supporters, but the market for "Arcadey World War 2 multiplayer shooters" just got a very strong contender in Enlisted. I hope the Hell Let Loose developers take note of this and plan accordingly.

Well I still dont quite see the direct comparibility between those 2 besides ww2 setting. So if Enlisted actually eats HLL then so be it.

The are comparable insofar as Hell Let Loose is comparable to Post Scriptum.

I mean PS and HLL have a lot more in common, with HLL being the more arcady game. But enlisted as far as I understand has a completely different game mechanic.

Enlisted looks like a mobile game to me lol

Hence all the more important that HLL stays true to its initial kickstarter premise, a key part of which was realistic weapon & vehicle handling and performance.

So I'm really hoping to see some improvement to the authenticity of the handling & performance of the weapons & vehicles ingame in the following patches.

Just played Enlisted for a bit. I mean... It's Gaijin. How anything Gaijin would ever blow anything else away has yet to be seen. It's pretty fun, but incredibly grindy and P2W to the max.
I haven't played HLL (Been thinking about trying it lately) but from what I've seen the games aren't similar at all. Sure, they are both FPS set during WW2. That's pretty much where the similarities end though.
First map I played in Enlisted I would swear was cobbled together from maps from other games, as I recognized 2 distinct places, one from Holdfast, the other I don't know.

They need to fix the increasing amount of hackers in HLL.

Enlisted is just another F2P/P2W shooter where you grind like crazy. HLL plays better, looks better and you only have to pay once for it. :steamlaughcry:

Pretty sure Enlisted won't ever compete to HLL as both games play out completely different and mainly attract another type of player. Enlisted is the typical fast action paced arcade shooter that doesn't have any meaningful tactical gameplay or communication aspects to it. Even though it's ttk is similar to HLL I would consider it's gameplay as pure lonewolf run and gun gameplay closest to CoD/BF. Not even close beeing a hardcore style tactical fps game like HLL.

Mate I'm not saying enlisted is a great game, it's utter arcade crap. What I'm saying is HLL is slowly heading in that direction, disregarding realism and introducing more and more arcade like symmetrical balancing of weapons.

Just take the new newsletter the devs posted:
"we’ve buffed the damage to enable the Nagant to have a slightly higher stopping power than the TT-33."

"Buffed" Like wtf? That's not way the game I wanted or backed to be developed, it's the exact ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ opposite of it!

What's next? Stuarts taking out Tigers? Oh wait...

Hell Idc about realism at this point for HLL.. I just want it to run better and fix the game flow/meta. Increased flag cap speed turning this into domination COD and the 200m garrison placement. Limited support player kit, clunky gunplay/player movement. List can go on.

Tomorrow Dexter will start a thread about HLL vs Heroes & Generals :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

They are comparable, in that they're both World War 2 online shooters. Sometimes I just want to shoot Americans with a K98. The question is, what game to I start up when I want to do that... Some people (maybe most people) are just looking for a World War 2 shooter fix. Are there people who have no interest in World War 2 who play World War 2 games, just because the game is good/fun? Probably. But I think for most people, having an interest in World War 2 is a prerequisite for enjoying these games.

"You will find the correct regiments fighting in the correct settings with correct weapons and equipment."

No you wont. Every town in the game is fictional, and in most cases creating an authentic squad set up is impossible. A good amount of standard issue weapons, such as lmgs, are locked behind massive grinds, while gear that either wasnt or barely used is accessible. How you can point to them changing the Panther, yet simultaneously ignore that Americans start with the Springfield rifle and the Ross, is beyond me
