The are comparable insofar as Hell Let Loose is comparable to Post Scriptum.
So I'm really hoping to see some improvement to the authenticity of the handling & performance of the weapons & vehicles ingame in the following patches.
I haven't played HLL (Been thinking about trying it lately) but from what I've seen the games aren't similar at all. Sure, they are both FPS set during WW2. That's pretty much where the similarities end though.
First map I played in Enlisted I would swear was cobbled together from maps from other games, as I recognized 2 distinct places, one from Holdfast, the other I don't know.
Mate I'm not saying enlisted is a great game, it's utter arcade crap. What I'm saying is HLL is slowly heading in that direction, disregarding realism and introducing more and more arcade like symmetrical balancing of weapons.
Just take the new newsletter the devs posted:
"we’ve buffed the damage to enable the Nagant to have a slightly higher stopping power than the TT-33."
"Buffed" Like wtf? That's not way the game I wanted or backed to be developed, it's the exact ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ opposite of it!
What's next? Stuarts taking out Tigers? Oh wait...
Hell Idc about realism at this point for HLL.. I just want it to run better and fix the game flow/meta. Increased flag cap speed turning this into domination COD and the 200m garrison placement. Limited support player kit, clunky gunplay/player movement. List can go on.
They are comparable, in that they're both World War 2 online shooters. Sometimes I just want to shoot Americans with a K98. The question is, what game to I start up when I want to do that... Some people (maybe most people) are just looking for a World War 2 shooter fix. Are there people who have no interest in World War 2 who play World War 2 games, just because the game is good/fun? Probably. But I think for most people, having an interest in World War 2 is a prerequisite for enjoying these games.
No you wont. Every town in the game is fictional, and in most cases creating an authentic squad set up is impossible. A good amount of standard issue weapons, such as lmgs, are locked behind massive grinds, while gear that either wasnt or barely used is accessible. How you can point to them changing the Panther, yet simultaneously ignore that Americans start with the Springfield rifle and the Ross, is beyond me
