in my opinion since they swapped to 2 ammo types riflemen became useless and leveled support players became the only option for AT resupply. 2 things that weren't even remotely necessary.
switch back to 1 ammo type or add a build-able ammo station with a set number of resupplies. playing AT has become annoying with 10 riflemen running around you contributing nothing to the team.

German rifleman last loadout have acces to explosive ammo, but once again need to be high level rifleman...

that class used to be very usefull even if some used to call it a useless class, since last update you should play something else, as there is really no benefit in playing rifleman anymore

not alot of players live long enough to benefit from an ammo resupply anyways, AT has been hit the hardest and with AT guns costing 100 now something needs to be reworked.

This whole system with boxes needs to be re-done because:

Medical Supplies:
- Close to useless because you have 2 bandages which usually is enough.
- You die all the time and will almost never run out of your 2 bandages.
- Medic never runs out of 20 bandages and 20 syringes.
- Very few use Medical Supplies.

Small Ammunition box:
- Useless because you have a lot of ammunition.
- You die all the time and will never run out of ammunition.
- Nobody use Small Ammunition Box.

Explosive Ammunition Box:
- Super useful because having 4-8 A-T rockets is very good.
- Super useful because having 2 A-T mines is very good.
- Super useful because having 4 A-P mines is very good.
- Super useful because having 8 grenades as Grenadier is very good.
- Explosives are scarce for all players, having double the amount is godlike.
- All with explosives use Explosive Ammunition Boxes, especially A-T players.

The biggest problem with Medical Supplies and Small Ammunition Box is that you can just respawn to refill if you for some reason runs out, it is the same for explosives but then you need to run back to wherever you were to use your explosives once more. An Explosive Ammunition box is godlike for A-T players.

This is the exact same problem with the whole Medic role, you are useless as a medic if the team got spawns nearby. Why should players wait for you as a medic when they can just respawn a couple of meters away and get a restock on bandages, ammunition and explosives?

Squad solved this with Fob and Ammunition boxes and vehicles with a little ammunition, everything is useful in Squad because you as a player run out of ammo and explosives and don't spawn in fully equipped. A non-stocked defense will make you lose points in Squad, which is never happening in HLL because everyone on point spawn back fully equipped.

One role with a box for all types or ammunition and supplies would fit this game much better. The Support role could have both this ammunition box and supply box with 50 resources. The ammunition box could have a certain amount of everything ''points'' and the one using it choose what is wanted, just like how it is in Squad, duh..

To only be able to spawn back with ammunition next to a garrison/airhead would also fix a lot of boxes being bad because many players will run out when they attack from outposts. This would also make tanks more viable because you would not have Rambo A-T player spawning hind enemy, that can re-stock by respawning at a outpost close by, he could still do this if there was an garrison/airhead behind enemy lines.

The spotter also has a Small Ammunition Box, which is odd because neither the Spotter or Sniper ever need to use it, you just die and respawn if you ever need to refill.

And then you die and respawn with 2 more. The medic can bandage players all day long with his 20 bandages if he is close, and then he dies and comes back with 20 more. I wrote that is is close to useless because it can be good but usually is not in my experience, since players die 24/7 and just respawn instead of waiting for a medic, with a few exceptions. ;)

Don't waste your time with AT/Explosive ammo posts.

People expect YOU to respawn if you run out of ammo.

Just like it was a common thing during WW2, with many Panzerschrekt teams pulling our their pistol and unloading a round in their head just because they ran out of ammo.....apparently

The Old Ammo boxes were universal and there was no issue with how it worked, The change was to improve teamwork i think but i'd have to go find that patch/devblog post.

Game's don't even last long enough now to warrant them since people are dying faster than ever and you rarely hear calls for ammo from AT guys who just suicide out for more ammo.

That and One side only gets ONE Class that can drop explosive ammo and that's locked behind a loadout level.
And as an earlier poster said Germany gets Two but both are locked behind a higher level loadout.

We have Ammunition Nodes that could easily be configured to act like the old ammo boxes or like the current supply box cool down system for support by just being in close proximity to the node your ammo is instantly resupplied or they could just have it work like tanks and have ammo resupply One Mag/Clip/Grenade at a time till you either leave or fully resupply.

Or do it like in Squad, everything runs on supplies as the only currency. then disable autorefill on respawn, make Supplytrucks easier to drive, supporters have a higher cooldown but can restock on supply trucks or drops.

This system will be more hardcore, but it makes much more sense and solves issues like these.
