Do Tank angles matter?
I am just wondering when my tank crew turns to a 90 degree angle if it does anything or if it just a tank rock paper scissor etc Heavy beat medium and so forth.

It does, in some degree. It gives you a chance to ricochet shells from your tank

Half the time, it seems like Heavy tanks can just one shot side armor at any angle. I've had a lot of moments where an enemy tank is just barely angled to one side but mostly facing me and shooting the tiny bit of side armor I can see will not bounce.

used to matter a lot but I think they normalized ricochets or something so they don't happen as much

Ideally, the tank bow should be 45% off the target to the left or right.

tends to be a good rule of thumb. had tigers ricochet off our 76 and save our skins on multiple occasions using that angle.

heavies will one shot anything but another heavy to the side. admittedly i haven't noticed whether a heavy will pen a medium from any angle. i'm rank 10 crewman playing only gunner with my friends and i don't recall it ever happening. for another heavy though it will always take two shots to the side.
