How do you play solo?

hey, im new to this game. in general i play with my friends, and i use discord when playing with them. but i never use any ingame chats (in any game). i play with all this voice stuff turned down to zero, because i dont like it to play with some random guys i dont know, where i do not know how good they are and in general.
basicly i only want to play with my friends, or as a solo player, and i do not want any interaction with random players.
now i have figured out 2 ways how i can enjoy the game as a solo player:

- A) is to make a squad as a leader, and to then kick everyone who joins by clicking the red symbol.
- B) is to just join a random squad, you can spawn much closer to the action, and you have a free choice of guns.

now i have 3 questions:
1) i would like to know how you set your game up to play solo?
2) how do you lock squads? because i am tired of all the randoms who try to join MY squad.
3) how is this when i make my own tanker/ sniper squad, is there any difference to the regular squad in regards of playing as a frontline soldier? (guns, spawnpoints, etc.)

do not play this game if you are going to do this. you wont have fun, and you will wreck the fun of other people. you are going to have to learn how to cooperate with strangers and that is just the way it is.

This game isn't for you, man. Play Battlefield games if that's how you're looking to play.

The game is not really setup with players such as yourself in mind. There are FPS games out there for solo players with mechanics and roles that are a better fit for you. Most servers have policies against solo locking squads for a reason. They are a cancer to the team they are on. As infantry you reduce the total number of effective guns on the field which is never a good thing. Solo recon and armor are often next to worthless. They waste resources, and produce minimal results. I do occasionally solo tank, but always welcome others to join because I know that even 2 people in a tank is far more productive than one person. It can be done, but unless you are playing against total potato players, you get owned by a properly crewed tank. Solo recon is not nearly as effective as a sniper and spotter communicating with command. With recon being limited to 2 squads per team, you will be bounced from the server pretty quickly. This game is not just a shoot em up, run and gun game. It is all about communication and information. You can keep asking the question, but you are not going to get the answers you want, because those answers don't exist. As a side note, one of the servers I play on regularly just kicked and banned a player last night for constantly kicking players from his squad without reason.

This is exactly the type of player that no one wants on the team. It's bad enough to play without a mic, but consistently solo-locking your squad will get you kicked from the majority of matches and sometimes banned from servers altogether.

I'm not trying to be rude, it's just that this entire game is centered around constant communication between players. "Playing solo" in HLL without communicating is like playing a racing game and refusing to move from the starting line.

lool i take SL for the SMG! i want thompson!! then i go camp the enemy HQ for EZ kills! furkin noobs, i also kick anyone who tries to join my squad, pro tip . they are just noobs and slow me down. i play a lot of batteflied v so im really good at this game

You should really look for some other game :) People like you are worst kind of players i meet playing this. Making a squad, locking it and then worst of all not communicating with other squad officers and commander. Doing their random ♥♥♥♥ and costing everyone a win.

Step 1: rent a server. Step 2: assign password. Step 3: Enjoy your not just solo squad, but solo server :)
