Correct StG44 rate of fire
Dear devs,

Could you please rectify the ingame StG44's RoF so that it matches that of its real life historical counterpart, i.e. 540 rpm (9 shots/sec) ? Atm the ingame weapon shoots around 400 rpm, which like a Grease Gun, and too slow.

I am aware that some very old guns with worn out recoil springs & underpowered handloads (on purpose to cause less wear) will shoot about as slow as 450 rpm (which is still faster than currently ingame), but fresh from the factory they fired at 540 rpm, as evidenced in the weapons actual manual, as well as in videos of the gun with a fresh recoil spring firing milspec ammunition:

Infact also just noticed that the Thompsons RoF seems oddly low, infact the Thompson & MP40 seem to be basically clones of each other in terms of RoF and feel. StG & BAR also seem oddly similar...

I think this game might be going a little bit too much toward arcade balancing instead of having each weapon behaving in their own unique and realistic way.

Please fix this alongside the too slow RoF of the Thompson ingame devs.

Really hope you will listen and do this, as it stands out as a real eye sore to the firearm enthusiasts among us.

STG also bounces all over the place which is very odd. It's supposed to be a remarkably controllable gun in real life, owing to the gun's heaviness and the relatively small cartridge which it fires. It feels really gimped in HLL.

Yeah, the recoil does feel abit too strong on it as well, atleast the sideways recoil is very odd.

Like you said this rifle is often touted as the most controllable assault rifle ever in full automatic, with a very soft/low impulse recoil.

Would be mighty nice if they fixed this along with the RoF.

Thompson needs a similar RoF increase though, as it's also firing oddly slow - can barely notice a difference in RoF between it and the MP40.

Stg44 realy could need a little buff to be honest

I would have to agree. The firing rate is a bit slow, and the recoil makes me laugh a bit. I have actually shot one and it is a very controllable weapon with relatively light recoil for the time period. Having recoil in game on par with rifles like the M1 Garand or Mosin Nagant is kind of silly. It would be nice if different weapons had distinct characteristics instead of the bland as oatmeal ones we have currently.

This, and also needs a way to switch fire modes

Yeah, just had a round with it again today, and the fact that it shoots as slow as a Grease Gun and kicks like a BAR is pretty frustrating, esp. when it also recoils sideways for some reason... atleast the BAR recoils fairly straight.

Pretty damn unrealistic that the BAR is more easily held on target full auto than the StG44; possibly the most controllable assault rifle there is IRL.

Really need a fix here.
