31 fps with a 3090 is becoming a real issue

With a 3090? You can't be serious. What are you running a dual core cpu? I'm light years ahead of that with 2080. Stop coming in here with there outrageous assertions. This is madness.

I'm running a 3090 and Ryzen 5900x. I've struggled with fps in this game only for months. Drops to 30 fps for the first 15 mins of each game. Slowy gets to around 50ish mid game but still major fps issues.

I'm getting over 100 fps most maps with a 3070. It sounds like your pc is the issue.

This is again VERY accurate!

System Spec:

3080 FTW3
Ryzen 9 5900x
16gb DDR4
M.2 Evo 2tb SSD.

On that edge of next gen and this game is sadly a HUGE letdown graphically and performance wise. Def something not optimized for the 30 series cards, if the comments are true that a 2080 is beating a 3080/3090 Max settings/1440p. Maybe if the 2080 is running 1080p...but having my doubts on the 2080 beating out the 30 series by a long shot.

NOW, with that said...I've noticed the game has gone through MAJOR MAJOR downgrades when it comes to LOD (Level of Detail) loading in. Play-Dough effect for DAYZZZ. While it seems somewhat of a limitation with the Unreal Engine....def very sad to see and it appears to be WORSE in the last two updates than it was in U8. My best guess is the downgrade was to accommodate lower spec machines and the next gen consoles. This game should not be releasing on consoles...it will COOK the inside!

I can confirm this too....no other game runs the way HLL does and while the UE4 isn't a bad one....its showing signs of not being the most optimized in this game.

Odd. I only have a 3060, and get stable 60 FPS with the sole exception of Stalingrad (which the developers are aware of the issues on, and are working to fix issues for).

Sure, that's at 1080p, but my card is proportionally more than that much weaker than yours.

Perhaps it is being caused by the CPU? I would recommend reinstalling the game and checking your graphics settings, and seeing if anything helps. The developers are working on optimization, but that sort of thing takes time. Best of luck to you.

I used to get that issue on my old setup. Change your settings on how long dead bodies are displayed. Lowering that should help, it did with me.

No, it's 100% right, this game's optimisation keeps getting worse. They were on it for awhile but then they dropped the ball on it again. Even the non Russian maps are still poorly optimised, especially on how the graphics look, things still look minecrafty at max settings and somehow this game gets less fps than Squad which is also poorly optimised lol.

Gotta play on 1080, buddy has same build as you but with 40 gigs of Ram altogether and still can't play in 4k without frame issues. 1080 you'll still have issues but at least it will be playable.

Game runs great...ran fine on my old system as well. Seems somewhat random why some people have issues and others don't.
