Why on german side squads are called alpha-bravo instead of anton-berta? IMO it could at a bit immersion to the game at literally no effort from devs.

The phonetic alphabet has been the norm since the morse code. The fact that the US used fancy names on their company's, like fox or easy, is just because they thought it sounded cool. They still used the phonetic alphabet when they needed to spell something over a bad telephone line or radio signal. Everyone uses the phonetic alphabet now, except maybe the Sweeds :) Adam Bertil til Kalle David....kom

I knew Germany was NATO, but it was a major discovery for me it was there during WW2. It explains a lot.

A tiny majority of German players would benefit while the majority of players (English speakers) would yawn and be inconvenienced. So no.

I'm all for the authenticity, but the fact is that most people probably couldn't pronounce them and it'd cause more headache than what it's worth.

Not so much an issue of effort or convenience than it is practicality.

I disagree. They're not that hard. (Although we should replace Emil with Erika ;)) And it would add a lot to immersion. For my part, I sometimes have to remind myself if my Alpha team is German or US that round.
