Just me or are people difficult to see?
I swear something is off with the colors in this game because in other games like Red Orchestra 2 it is MUCH easier to see people than in this game especially at range which is like 90% of engagements. If someone isn't running or very close to you they are extremely hard to see and it sucks idk if it's just cause the graphics are terrible or what but it feels like I'm getting shot at by 2 pixels hiding behind a wooden plank.

It's quite by design. You'll experience the same difficulty in SQUAD as well.

I think it's just cause this game has terrible graphics and optimization. The Anti-Aliasing is truly terrible.
I don't think it's a purposeful design choice, I just think this is sort of how it happened naturally given the art and physics choices they went with.

Yes, a lot of us have trouble seeing people sometimes. At 200m+, some bushes and walls can look like people, especially if they're deformed melted cheese due to junk LoDs.

PPSH is only laser when its close quarter, i dont even bother to hide when im getting shot with PPSH past 150m,. its just very hard to control, only satisfying in CQB

Just 80m - 150 can hit the first shot - fortunately the PPSH can't shoot single shots in the game - in fact it could shoot through helmet and skull and brain at 500m - a clear advantage of steel core which nobody else discovered in machine gun - to this day this bullet is considered a bulletproof vest killer. at 300m this bullet killed US soldiers in bulletproof vest. It's not talked about -aay the illegal round didn't start being used in Chicago against US police. The PPSH has similar specs to the MG42 - it is underrated in the game. Incomparably better than the Thomson, mp40, or MP44 - it was only surpassed by post war assault rifle designs. The PPSH is only considered a submachine gun because it had an uncocked bolt.

OP - Just ask them to put on their White Winter Gear they may have, that should help since there is only one winter map.

Let's not forget about players taking cover and your client drawing them as firing through trench walls, rocks, stone fences etc.

If you want to see people, try remaining stationary in a shaded area where you're not silhouetted ... soon enough movement will catch your eye. This is how it works in the real world as well so IMO the game models your ability to see camouflaged enemies in an accurate manner.

if you have 1080p monitor and target is running at 60-100 meter distance against bushes they literally turn into mist/ghosts this issue dosent exist if they run against clear background example. maps such as foy with little vegetation. They are sometime almost impossible to spot, real issue not a bug has to do with the anti-aliasing.

Yeah it's terrible. Hurtgen actually hurts my eyes/gives me a headache from all the strain of trying to see something or pick apart LOD's from people. Add in atrocious directional sound that gives zero indication of where you're being shot from and a hit-indicator that seems to flash from a random direction rather than the one you got shot from and you have Yawn Simulator 2021.

Which is a shame, as when it works this game can be something truly special. Back in 2019 it was ace.

I use 2x Nvidia DSR on a 1080p 32inch TV, Nvidia image sharpening, and the in-game TAA.

Everything looks so good and clear. I have no problems seeing anything.

Well no wonder with those settings and setup, lol :steamhappy:
Maybe I should have put emphasis also on 1080p resolution with standard anti-aliasing game ships with no additional tweaks.
