There is but it isn't visible until you're within the blast radius.
this.
there's a TINY red, circular "crosshair" looking icon that appears once you place a satchel... however, as is the norm with out development team, they decided to make the icon completely USELESS by making it a unique marker that fades away after a nonsensical 10m, when the blast radius for satches is like 30m. Common sense would lead one to believe "well i can't see the marker anymore, i must be a safe distance away"... but again, common sense escapes the development team.
Whats really aggravating is that this same logic wasn't applied to "other" squads, and not yours [so the icons of your teammates 300m away wouldn't be blocking your view]. Sure this option exists as a game setting, but it wasn't thought of ahead of time and included in the game, as was apparently the case with the satchel icon.
