Anyone getting earraped?
Smoke shells fired from artillery will blow your ear drums out. Idk why no one in the dev team realised this. It should had been fixed before Launch.

Funny, someone made a thread on this 2 or 3 days.

I have the same thing to say that I did then: it has been like this for years, probably since arty was first implemented. The devs are absolutely aware. They have yet to comment on it, AFAIK.

At this point it's a health hazard. Every time it happens to be I have to quickly take off my headset cause its that painful.

It might have more to do with your PC audio settings and components than it does with the game. I used to get ear raped when I had a cheaper set of headphones and had 7.1 turned on. Now I have Razer Blackshark V2, which are quieter overall, but they emphasize foot steps and spatial sounds more than gun fire and explosions. It kinda pissed me off at first because I couldn't figure out how to make the gun shots sound louder, but now I like it. You can also download various audio programs to give you better control over equalizers. You have options!

Lol I use a Corsair HS60. My PC is fine. My audio in-game for everything is fine. I can hear footsteps fine. I can hear gunshots fine. But somehow artillery smoke is 1000% the normal audio. As you can see a lot of people are complaining about this issue all over the forums. No other games have this issue but this game. No idea why you are defending the devs

Not defending the devs. I'm just saying you should try to fix it instead of crying and I offered you some direction. I fixed it, so it can be fixed. If you just want to have a uselessly bad attitude and complain, that's on you.

Yes, victim blaming at its finest. Bet you're the type to blame the victim instead of the raper. A problem that happens only in 1 game in 1 particular scenario out of 100+ games in my library and it's apparently my pc and not the game. "i fixed it" I dunno what you "fixed" but I'm sure as hell its not the problem I mentioned.

Plus, you should personally tell the devs to start linking third party softwares on their steam page so they don't have to fix these problems themselves. Sounds like a good idea.

I'm not taking a side here but I can't help myself, 'victim blaming' might be quite the stretch. He didn't say it was your fault.

Personally I don't find an issue in the volume of artillery smoke. It's important to consider that an issue you, or a group of people, have or have found, might not be an issue for an extent of players that warrants a systematic resolve.

This excludes the random hissing noise that is not from smoke, of course.

I used to have a HS50, recently changed to a Cloud Flight, the smoke still makes my head hurt.

Maybe it will be fixed in patch 16 as Devs have said long awaited issues will also be addressed.
