MAP font size and icons are tooooo small
I've just bougth the game, my problems with navigation after 26 hours of gameplay:

- I don't have any problem with my eyes but I can hardly read the damn texts on the map.
When I zoom in it doesn't matter because the text size stays the same.

- Also I have big trouble locating myselft on the map, the icon belnds in too much, not distinctive at all.

- Finding squad or teammates on the map? Good luck with that. Tiny dots on the map. Same for enemy dots when recon plane is on.

- armor is barely visible because their icon is not filled in with color.

- OP, garison icon, well they are also hard to find.

- Compass text on the hud is also too small, and the quarters (N,NE,E,SE etc) should be even bigger than the numbers.

- One more quality of life improvement would be if zooming in and out would not move the map verticaly or horizontaly but the mousepointer would stay on the exact same spot on the map. (Like it is in company of heroes 2 when you zoom in and out)

Most importontant would be to make something so that we can adjust the text and icon size of the map. Thank you!

Don't feel as though any of this is going to happen, the zooming not rotating the map perhaps but in my 2500 hours I've never seen them ruin the map by enlarging the sizes of the markers.

I mean a custom setting where you can set your prefered size would be good so if you like the tiny text go for it. Maybe a hotkey to circle through 3 predifined sizes would be enough.

I just don't want to buy a pair of glasses just for playing and reading the map in HLL...

You just need to spend more time in the game, 26 to 300 hours is pretty light. If you keep playing you'll soon notice that you find items easily and it doesn't clutter your map.

But the map cardinal really is small and almost invisible on some maps. They're trying to represent a map that was probably 2 feet by 3 feet wide on a screen that is a quarter of the size but covered with much more information.

No, the case is just simply not this. I have to literaly lean forward to read even the names of the objectives. It's not being novice in the game, it's just small text, I learned reading text a "few" years ago and I am pretty good at it...

I can't relate to your problems.

Ya wanna post a screenshot? Maybe there is something wrong with your UI.

Maybe it is also a learning thing. I know round about where i am. I watch often the map and update my brain, so i know already where is what happening. I see the garries and op fast enough, maybe also because i can estimate where they are due to our friendly position, walking direction.

Update 8 out, so far so good! These addresses my problems!

Updated game fonts to be more legible on higher and lower resolutions.

Players now face the objective whenever they spawn.

Implemented scaling player HUD icons. As players move away from you their icons become smaller. This also affects other icons in the game. The desire here is for a less cluttered HUD without sacrificing necessary information.

Tweaked all map icons to be better balanced according to importance and legibility.

[Fixed] Player icons on in-game map are too small in comparison to the other map icons.

Increased the transparency of the colored overlay on the map to make it more subtle and increase legibility of all other information.

the original map icons were so much better, but than the devs decided to change something that was not broken, now we have these horrible small and white icons, it is god aweful!!!!!

now my eyes are 20-20, but i can only imagine if people have bad eyes, even i have trouble seeing the map icons.... it is absoluuutly horrible

they should go back to the original map icons!,. make them bigger and give them a backgroudn color so they stick out!!!.

You are right!
I started the game with U7 so I didn't know how the map was before, but I checked on youtube and the old map IS MUCH MORE BETTER!!!!

The problem is not just the size but that the tanks, for example, are not filled in with color now so they are barely visible on the map for a quick glance.

Yeah... the green color is a little bit too "light" on the "white" map, correct. The blue, i don't know, really. Seem ok.
