Sometimes it feels like there are either A lot of Cheaters

Or people are editing the game files to hide smoke effects and shrubbery. There is multiple times where you die from nowhere or someone is pin point shooting your whole team through smoke.

This game would REALLY benefit from letting you know who killed you every time you died.

I understand hiding the name because it's not really important to know, but I would like to know what killed me.

Example:
MP40 shot in the abdomen from 24 meters.

That would help alleviate some of the confusion and frustration from a death.

However, I do feel like there is an influx of cheaters lately. I know some people are just good, and that the game is really brutal and you die fast. That said when someone strafes a corner, prefiring at me, while I'm prone in a bush and they don't know I'm there, through smoke, it's a bit suspicious. Happens too often for it to be a coincidence.

Hi Soccerx35 yes it's all happening from my experience iv seen it all in fact it was happening las night some guy teleported and was shooting through walls of a 3 floor house he had no idea I was there.

some folk will say oh he seen you go in did he now? then how did he know what floor and room and what part of the room I was in? cos he was clearly cheating! Oh but you didn't get video so it doesn't prove a a thing.

like am gonna lie about cheating.

I'm not one of these folk who screams cheating at every single questionable shot and there are some flukes glitches etc and I make much allowance for all stuff. so when I says there's cheating happening I did experience cheating.

people are pulling off things that this game in it's current state is not possible to do without some sort of game file edits 3rd party hacks.

it all works on this principle "

If you stick your hand in a fire you will get burnt. believe me or not the outcome is the same, You will get burnt"

same with cheating folk can believe it or not but it's happening and their belief dose not change or effect the fact cheating is taking place. weekend's and holidays are the worst for it, which is something a lot of folk know

Head-shots through smoke under suppression from across fields, behind scenery, shot though walls. I can point you to brutal cheats for this game, then you will understand.

If you're under suppression there are bullets flying at you. I've frequently blind fired into smoke and gotten kills, including multiple pings from headshots. That's not even counting all the kills from MG blind fire. Smoke is a magnet for boolets because someone doesn't want to be seen. Doesn't mean I'm hacking. And you can be shot through shrubbery, and I'm not super familiar with the latest update but that brought bullet penetration. Am I saying hacking doesn't happen? No, but all of the things you point out happen from my end on a typical play session.

absolutely correct and that's considering random stay bullets or if the was a lot of enemy's shooting at you but 9/10 times it's a lone shooter.

I'm certainly not the best at this game but in over 2k hours i know my av kill death ratio and when my exceed my av deaths x2-x3 I'm either having a bad game or there's cheating and it's mostly down to cheating.

If I didn't know the difference id also be claiming steam rolling is cheating but we all know that can happen legit. a team steam rolling another team dose not necessarily indicate cheating although there could be in some cases.

head shot aces who can stand on ground level see though smoke and wheat field from a couple of hundred meters away and 1 shot head shot you while you play prone it's pure Bs.

the last week or so has been dire if left so many matches mainly due to people not being able to play the game and a little cos the cheating.

Absolutely. I concur Runlikehell. Also I mentioned the shooing through walls. I was in the church. Hidden. Shot through the wall, as shown by the indicator. They knew where I was, and they could shoot through the wall.
I've also learnt of the soft aimbot. It is designed to be not so obvious. So it won't aim for the head, but will autoshoot at target.

Come and play on my server guys. I ban cheaters. Just report them to me and they are history.

Being hit in the head out of nowhere seems to be a recurring issue lately. Unsurprisingly, the HLL hacks that make this possible are but one Google search away. I could name at least two, however I don't want to encourage even more cheaters buying those. I just hope that Team 17 dedicate resources to keep track of those, that they harden the game against hacks and ban for life any Steam account found using them.

Also, the differences in graphics (high grass, bushes etc.) can also easily cause situations where you think the killer is cheating. Often, grass high won't load in time/at a certain distance, which means while the person crouching thinks he is hidden, the enemy clearly see him in the open.

Besides that, there are sadly a lot of players who abuse the graphic settings to turn out the grass manually.

All i can say is, sure there might be cheaters but looking at my own gameplay i must admit i made some serious lucky shots, just by anticipating the enemy, this involves shots trough smoke, bushes.. trenches.. Some shots i've made i can imagine the guy would think it was a cheater for sure. And most often i just shoot at corners and places where i would be standing if i was the enemy, and sometimes i get lucky again, and again i can imagine the kill comes out of nowwhere for the guy.

Its not always cheaters, i think most of the time its just better players (and some cheaters ;) )

Len, that kind of comment is not helpful. Nobody is denying exceptions. This is about cheaters. Go onto YouTube, see what we are talking about.

Some people are indeed changing the game settings because it's unreal. I know that optimalization is somewhere between agony and dying rn but devs should do something about it. Maybe not making it bannable but something like the game won't launch if some settings are different and you can't change them in game options.
