Though one thing I would like alongside this would be for timestamps in chat, and a way to scroll up in chat. It would also be nice if you would only see the chat messages if you were in the person's squad or nearby them
I've played SL a lot and I would love if people gave me a quick yes/no to directions. It at least shows they are listening.
It only needs to last as long as a ping so the SL has time to put a permanent marker.
It doesn't even need audio. Just a simple, easily identifiable marker.
What a great suggestion.
Hi Bun I support any changes that make any game more accessible to disabled players.
tbh the whole mic thing is a real can o worms the dev's have unfortunately not thought out very well in promoting "Mic Usage" there's no ned to promote like they have it's common sense to people who want to, to use a mic and dose not need promotion. now we have half a brainwashed playerbase who are "All Mic or Nothing" and they actively attack troll and treat non mic users like sh*t which is pathetic and the dev;s have never once made a public statement asking for folk to calm or stop it they just slink about in the background untouched unaffected by it all.
like most things with HLL the dev's are too lazy to accept responsibility or make their gaming environment a more pleasant place to be. these dev's really need a good kick up the but and a reality check with their game and playerbase. if they are are gonna leave their playerbase frustrated then that frustration will come back on them and they only have their selves to blame until they sort it out.
This was one of the first things I asked my friend about after he got me to buy it and we were playing together.
Look at Escape From Tarkov's system, it's pretty good.
I will make sure to do that.
Even if everyone has a mic a squad can easily have several native tongues and it would be quicker and easier to give simple commands in one go.
Also if you are just confirming something or saying thanks it makes it clearer not to have people talking over each other which is something that can be challenging to the hearing impaired.
probably, I know that happened once when I tried to suggest a visual update for Overwatch sounds. Can't win since too many people are adamant deaf people are not allowed to game.
Although this suggestion helps everyone not just hearing impaired, There is so many none mic users and there always will be no matter what there needs to be ways to address the problem and give a ways for none verbal communication.
