Friendly indicators since update
This is mostly for tanks but it would be nice if you reverted the range to what is was before. It's very easy to shoot at friendlies now, especially when the fighting is close. There are obviously ways to counter this with better map awareness and holding more shots but its inevitably just going to lead to more friendly fire incidents regardless, something frustrating to the tank and the poor friendly infantry.

I agree. I killed a couple of friendlies while playing sniper while shooting at long distance. Our team was attacking and I was shooting forward of the advance to help clear the way. Once the team got on point and the other team starting spawning in around my team, it became very unclear who was friendly and who was not. Eventually, I had to stop shooting because I had killed a couple of friends and wasn't able to determine friend from foe. The old system made it much clearer who was who at a long distance for sure.

The best solution would have been to give us the ability to toggle markers on and off quickly in order to clear up clutter while still having big enough icons.

Instead they went with a 'solution' that I don't even think they tested. How could they have done this and not seen this themselves?

Yeah. They need to give a choice to havent the tags in full size if we desire to have it like that. I really prefer the old version.

I check my settings.. all range is 500m friendly units.. I look at a guy running 50m ahead and he doesnt have a bubble.. Seems legit I'll shoot him to be sure and get votekicked for TK.

We change side too many times in this game. Sometimes, we have a bug and we panic because there is not tag on a friendly uniform. It's disturbing, our eyes are not matching with the map & our brain so we do TK because we are trusting our eyes.

When you played 90 minutes on one side. Hard to accept than the uniform of your enemies is not a friendly.

I wasn't a fan of the new lower distance friendly markers at first but I defo am after playing it more.

TARGET IDENTIFICATION!!!!
It forces you to be less run'n'gun. Spraying wildly.

That extra second it takes to check the uniform,helmet or weapon before firing is great and way more immersive.
Yes it is risky to wait before committing to firing but surely this is a good thing.

How many times have we read on the forums this game is being too arcadey and the player base is too COD/BF?

Well the devs just implemented a system that actively discourages you from going all pewpew and people shoot them down for it?

I dont get it, you cant have it both ways.

As i said this more applies to tanks and the ranges they are dealing with. When you have 5 or 6 infantry engaged in a fire fight in front of you its hard to track all of it. The nature of the explosion is already a large factor to consider and slow you down.

All this does is increase friendly fire incidents. I doubt most people are going to take that with an attitude of "oh dang, he must of been having a hard time of it" ... I assume you know this cause you've been on the internet for probably awhile now.
