If PC users use auto aim they are called cheats.
I used to play BF1 on the PC with a controller, a game far faster pased then HLL, and i did very well. Took me a couple of days to get used to it though.
And not just that, i even played using a track-ball mouse, i did very well as well
In the end i came to a simple conclusion that one can be very good with whatever he wants to use, the only difference is that some people give up really fast
you can look on youtube, pc fps games with controllers and track balls, they do far better then most players that are using K&M
So I bounce back and forth from Keyboard and Mouse to controller and at times both at same time.
I am more accurate with the mouse but lousy at moving around with keyboard, and there are not enough buttons on the controller to keybind everything you need to function.
So anything to do with moving around from sprinting to laying prone or jumping and even reloading my weapon I set up on my controller, but my mouse I use for aim and turning quick and of course MMB for ping markers.
So if I want to move while aiming I hold Controller in left hand moving in direction with left joystick, while pressing left trigger to activate aim, at the same time with mouse I use to Look around and accurately place cross hair where I want with precision.
When I need to just move around without engaging enemy I go full controller holding it with both hands and have my look ability set up on the right controller joystick.
You can have 2 keybindings set up for each action, like I also have the ability to Ping enemies with the right joystick button down on my XBox One Controller. Very useful and accurate.
I use left joystick button down on controller to sprint, so I can move forward then sprint easily by clicking down on joystick.
I set the ducking and laying prone on the left and right bumper buttons. Very handy.
Same goes for when Im in Armour. When as a Gunner or Driver I go full Xbox Controller combined with keyboard Num Pad keys to switch seats or change shell ammo.
When I am Spotter in armour I use my mouse as it is quicker to rotate and aim for ping MMB
I also have Xbox controller (Y) face button to Voice chat...very handy rather than reaching for V on Keyboard. To call up my Map I have it set to the (Select button- button next to start button) and the (Start Button) I use as the F Key (Use or Enter) very handy to get into vehicles or Arty or to quickly use my bandages.
Takes a bit of time to set up to your liking but it works for me. I do wish in future they have settings for controllers.
- Left Thumbstick Button Down - which is how it normally is on most or all console games, yet in the keybindings list in the settings it shows blank for the keybinding.
If you try to assign it yourself so it actually registers in the list, as, Sprint = Left Thumbstick Button Down, it cancels the sprint function or creates a conflict.
So to avoid this just leave it blank by default and it works the way it should.
