I just tried it on my desktop for poops and giggles (was on "balanced, now "high performance"), no idea if it'll do anything
I dunno dude, I played 4 hours straight until Foy came around. It's easy to turn off if you do have issues, so it's worth a try at least

OK strange that its so different for everyone...
Yes High Performance I have my power settings set to power saver during day due I work alot with my computer and it keeps temps lower so my apartment wont turn to "Sauna" during the summer. Yet this power settings causes major issues with HLL and with other games I dont know about balanced setting but would expect some minor changes after changing high performance.
Make sure you are using fullscreen and dont Alt/tab out of the game.
Also make sure the game starts up full screen as soon as you click on the game, if it opens as windowed it will crash (same as Alt/tab)
The game needs a lot of fixing and it has lots of potential going forward.
