It is team based like squad... with units of 6 lead by a commander. Communication and team work does help, but you can load in on your own and do your own thing to a degree.

I play solo all the time, without any issues. It's a fun game either way!

I just started solo and it's really good ! When i say solo is with no irl friends. I join a squad and go machine-gunner and cover the squad. People are friendly in this game!

All the above is as the game is designed and true "BUT" you will find many times there is just one person in a squad or no SL and you can pretty much play as you like. I know this breaks all the "rules" of squad play but, that is just the reality of the way it is because you can't force a player to do as you say.

So, to answer your question--YES, but, that is not the best way to play. If you choose to do that you can support another squad and yet do that as you like. Either way the point is to support your team in the best way possible, yet in time you will soon learn there are many squads that don't follow the Commanders directions and do their own thing as well as individual players who don't follow the SL and this I know as being a Commander and SL.

The decisive factor "to win" in this game is "communication" and following orders, and that is hard to do not being part of a functioning squad. Yet, as I said you can find opportunities to play on your own and enjoy the game. And to be honest sometimes playing in a squad isn't much fun, that depends on the SL and the squad.

Can I play soloish like Rising Storm? or is it like Post Scriptum where you get howled at by the SL or kicked if you don't do exactly as ordered?
Is it generally people naturally co-ordinate? Or do I have to get involved with all that voice chat make friends with a squad or you are shouted at?

You don't need to be too vocal in squad chat, a simple "understood" or other indication that you've heard the SLs orders is all. You aren't required to get to know your squad mates birthdays and special interests.

MG class for you, not so good attacking but great in defense, however the major difficulty is in setting it up - 50/50 on windows if u are lucky, cant lay down in grass(cant see ♥♥♥♥), its basically set it up on a fence or wall of some sort and / or go rambo and get totally raped by every USA semi auto with lazer sights.

That being said... MG class can roam independently of squad due to nightmare stated above, find nice spot to setup = rEdRUm I'v gone 0-10 trying to setup, find good spot end up 42-12, great in defense cause 90% of squads never defend.

solo play isnt encouraged as the squads have roles that when combined and used together can generate great results.If you have a good commander and competent squad leads and you play as a unit, victory is dam near a given.
