Give us a proper TAA-Anti aliasing please!
So right now for TAA we got two options in game. We have TAA - standard and TAA-Clarity. The problem is that none of those two can provide both clarity and a clean looking image.

TAA - standard gives you a good looking game, sort of like a painting. The problem with Taa standard is that it makes the game look too blurry and suffers in terms of long range visuals.

TAA - Clarity: Here you have the complete opposite. This option gives you extreme clarity but it is way too sharp in my opinion. Its so sharp that its almost like if i didnt have any anti-aliasing on at all. This doesnt look good at all, atleast for a 1080p user and it kind of ruining the immersion because of how bad it looks with all the pixelation.

So if we could have an anti-aliasing thats in the middle ground of these two it would be great.

I agree that the AA situation is a bit unsatisfying and needs change. I am not a specialist in game engine design but I guess these limitations are due to the use of unreal engine paired with lots of foliage? can someone clarify

Im not convinced that it is an engine problem. We had some options to configurate the ini.files before to tweak the TAA and it actually made the game look rather good. After they implemented the Taa- Clarity option the ini tweak didnt seem to work for me anymore.

That's odd, I suggest you to redo your .ini tweaks, and make sure to use TAA clarity.

So it still works for you? Are you sure you're not just looking at the TAA-clarity and think thats the ini tweak?

It still works, 100% sure.

Note that the ini tweak improves TAA clarity, it doesn't replace it with something else.

Apparently it works now for some reason, thanks!. This is the best anti-aliasing out there in my opinion. Its not too sharp and its not blurry. Link for those that are intressted: https://www.reddit.com/r/HellLetLoose/comments/bxuplq/if_you_have_bad_antialiasing_try_this/

No problem.

Regarding your link, I know those AA values but they can produce "ghosting" issues (noticeable when you move). This is why I recommended other values.

That being said... I might reconsider this now I found ways to deal with "ghosting" / "shimmering" issues (see "Change your GPU settings" section).

Which other values do you suggest?

Try running at 120 percent screen resolution to clean up the edges.

that link says

[GUIDE REMOVED]

then there's some rant about some game clans

Did the guide's OP got that much salty that he decided to be a major dumdum and delete his guide preventing low specs players some easy fps boost just because he's a drama queen?

disable the -dx12 command, it causes random crashes inluding crash if you tab out of the Game (if you run in fullscreen) and 100% crash when loading the Foy Map.

Not worth the fps gain in my opinion. we have to hope that the Game will support DirectX12 someday.
