I really hope this gets more people to give offensive mode a chance. I find it's a great break from the 360 degree madness of warfare mode as it usually leads to a contiguous front line and clear objectives for each side. In this regard, it's very noob friendly, but without a clear understanding of the game mode, a lot of blueberries will charge off into the distance, despite their SLs begging them to you know...do the only thing they should be doing which is defend (or attack). This vid will certainly help!
Some of the most intense battles have been in offensive mode as the entirety of the team actually goes for the objective! Overtime also gets the heart pumping!
I love Offensive Mode. Certain maps need some tweaks I think, as some of the points are either too hard to attack or too hard to defend. That Cobru Farm and Foy objective rotation is murder on the German's. I very rarely see the German's take those points, as there is no good way to attack those points. It's all open fields into the points. Just no clear way to attack. That's just one example. West Vierville on Omaha is another one of those very, very hard to attack points because of where the Strongpoint is and how hard it is to get into that strongpoint.
I also think the devs were a little liberal with how much flanking room they give the attacking teams now. It's way too easy to get three sectors back and drop a garrison in the back the moment an objective gets capped. While the defensive team is forced to be on a strongpoint for the most part.
All in all though, I love offensive mode, besides those minor gripes.
I like Offensive mode, too. Especially after a couple Warfare games in a row. It gets a lot of flak though. I made the video in hopes to get more people to give it a second shot before abandoning it. If a person just likes Warfare better that's fine, but if a person doesn't like it just because they don't know how it works or whatever...then I thought I was in a position to help the community in what little way I can. Thanks for the positive feedback and thanks for watching! Feel free to share!
Leave the cap weights as is in terms of being in the SP.
Another big issue is purely the fault of the defending team...not setting up any supporting garrys (you have an embarrassment of riches with the starting garrys so most don't think of it), even if you think you're a-ok, the cascade failure can happen extremely fast. This leads to the defending team throwing half baked attacks to reclaim subsequent SPs, without actually fortifying any in particular.
IMO, commander should prioritize getting that second line of garrisons up ASAP and let the SL's focus on defending.
I know exactly why you make these vids and it's outstanding dude...all of these content creators we've got should be commended, does a lot for the team so they can focus on making the game!
