Anyone Else Find Hill 400 a Hard Map to Play On?
Title, and any tips to get better at that map would be useful. I thought it would be similar to Hurtgen Forest, but it definitely plays and feels a lot different.

So what I got from this is that the brightness needs to be upped, and I should utilize the absurd amount of hiding places and cover on this map a lot more. Even though it's a hard map, it's still really fun to play on.

Whilst it can be difficult to understand how broader strategy is something you can utilise on a personal level, I personally really would stress this as more important than brightness settings or rote learning hiding spots.

If everybody can clue on to the need to play the map, not simply zerging objectives or sticking to the same format of zerg and back-cap, all the maps will become a lot more playable and with less spawn, die, spawn, die, spawn again action.

In the case of this map though, it will be all the more important. If the playerbase at large can pick up on the importance of controlling geography and roads as a means to win objectives, not simply an aside to it, this map will go from frustrating to intense and immersive battles for control of the passes and vantage points.

Number one tip on playing Hill 400...slow down.
It's going to be a fist fight and there's no need to rush in and get your nose bloodied.

I found the map decent. I just wish they could make it less dark since it's difficult to see any enemies.

If there's any particular feedback around this, as well as what you feel tanks should be able to pass through on the map, let us know!

We're keen to see what works and what doesn't for everyone on this map.

I saw quite a few stuck tanks on the narrow roads in the north/centre of the map yesterday, maybe they were trying to do an austin powers u turn

Also saw a lot of people hidden inside rocks when firing downhill

Yeah, the roads need to be opened up a bit more. They are way too narrow for the Tiger Tank, it causes the Tiger to get stuck everywhere. Even the Sherman and Panther have trouble on some of the roads, it's a nightmare to traverse the map.

A lot of stone walls that the Tank get's snagged on, causing a complete stop or just plain getting stuck in between said walls.

It's just not a Tank map. I typically enjoy being in Tanks, but I avoid it on this map completely. I don't think it'll ever be a Tank map to be honest.

I mean, not every map needs to be World of Tanks. Map definitely is a lot more fun playing infantry, while driving bigger tanks with friends was a nightmare.

from artistic perspective this is one of the best looking maps, also purple line too. seems like your environment artist improving with every new map.

Way to dark for me imo. I have to turn brightness up to 130 even then its still to dark. And what happened to the utah grayness? Utah was one of my favorite maps because they had nailed the right atmospheric ambiance. Please bring it back :(. Artistically they are both beautiful.

I'm sick of it already to be honest; the map itself is great; the problem is the number of teammates and commanders tk'ing to prevent team from capping last point (rather than go play on one of the numerous empty servers if they want to explore...)

Map is visually stunning, haven't had nearly enough time to properly gauge the playability, but looks like it's going to afford some VERY hectic battles.

@Zrage - totally agree, theiir collective skill is going up with each map.

Absolutely love the colour pallet and how one mode is sunny, and the other is foggy...the fog is spectacular.

Not every battle was fought in favorable conditions folks, kind of cool that we have this variation.

Knuckles white on your rifle stock, squinting through the fog, trying to get a glimpse of the enemy, my Lawd it's intense!

@ Bill - that'll die down in a day or so

I have never died so much in any map to date but I like the distant barking dog sounds.

So it is swings and roundabouts.

The dogs were a nice touch, there's also a cat cry and woodpeckers. The swirling leaves add to the reality as well.

Hill 400 is my favorite map to date.

Utah is amazing now! I always thought the original was great but it has been vastly improved and plays so much better.

The color on Foy is brilliant, I no longer need my Ray bans to play.
