Teamwork makes the dream work.
I laughed at this. Noone plays Rifleman. I see the occasional Rifleman drop a box near a respawn or something, but otherwise, it suffers from the same flaws as the Support class. You have to redeploy to get another one.
By the time you reload at the ammo box, reload the Shreck, the Tank is either gone, or is gonna turn and murder you anyways, even if there is a box there.
The Panzershreck does need a buff. Rifleman or not. It's supposed to be more powerful then the Bazooka, who get's 4 shots, hence why you only get two shots. But I take two shots in Jumbo's in the rear from Shrecks all the time, and laugh cause I know they are out of ammo after two shots and ignore them.
The regular M4 Sherman's are able to be taken out by one or two Rockets, but with the new Commander ability to just drop Jumbo's all the time, that's all you really see on the field.
So the American AT gets 4 rockets enough for 2 German tanks if shot in the rear and an M1 garand.
The German AT gets 2 rockets enough for a single tank (side shots will do but if you miss or track it then you can't destroy any) and a Kar98.
If you take a rifleman to supply you as the Germans that's now 2 people to do the job of a single NA anti-tank and now in your squad there's even more Kar98's while the American side doesn't need a rifleman they can take an autorifleman or assault or MG and get even more fire power!
In addition the Americans get more tanks that are cheaper to spawn and respawn faster!
2 rockets in the ass of the German tanks and all fall!

SL: "Guys, tank on my mark, assault, please flip to rifleman and go with our AT to hunt that bad boy."
Resupplying at an ammo box takes what, 5 seconds? Make sure your shots are perpendicular and preferably to the rear.
You have the tools, stop whining because you don't know how to hold em/refuse to adapt and learn how to properly use them.
Like it was one thing when M4s were 1v1'ing Tigers and Panthers, but throw in the jumbo and still reduce the germans tank count? It's just not practical as a historical game.
Whether the devs decide to start modeling wounds for crew properly, or actually start tracking armor condition much more closely in game, there needs to be programming accounting for the shermans massive underperformance compared to german heavy tanks, the literal only advantage that shermans had was their production capacity, and as of now US tanks are by no means forced to coordinate to defeat enemy armor, which is ridiculous by all accounts.
Yes it has. The devs have admitted it. The engine updates have screwed with the Armor values is their suspicion.
This is from the dev briefing #75: "Revisiting armour penetration and deflection of rounds (our suspicion is the huge engine upgrades have thrown aspects of this off)."
Couple of other notes from this same briefing:
"Allied armour is very numerous given their relative power parity with German armour."
"Vehicles generally need to be balanced (we’ll be starting to address this with the new vehicle spawning system in U6)."
They are very aware of the problems that exist right now in the Armor balance gameplay. All of these problems that we've been bringing up on these forums.
This isn't just a problem with the German tanks either. This happens to the Sherman's as well. Just today, I was playing on Utah and I put 9 shells from the Jumbo 76 into a Panther's tracks and it did no damage at all. I was then two shot by the same Panther in the front armor once it found me.
I don't know if this is a netcode issue with players with higher pings or lower pings, I dunno, but this happens all around. Getting into engagements where the Tank seems invincible. I get two shot in a Panther all the time by 75 Jumbo's, yet I can put 5, 6, 7, 8 Shells into a Panther the next game, and it does nothing. I know I'm penetrating cause there's fire all over the Turret, but the Tank just won't die.
I've also been in engagements where I'm the one not taking any damage. You can tell the difference between shells that penetrate and shells that don't. The ones that don't penetrate, you'll hear the distinctive bounce off the Armor. When shells penetrate, you'll hear the shell like it's inside the Tank and the Tank itself will bounce heavily. I've been in Tank's where my Turret is in the red, and I can hear the enemy Tank penetrate, but it doesn't do any damage.
With a good crew the Panther is probably the best tank in the game, other than the Jumbo with smoke rounds, those make tank fighting easy since you can cover your advance and get the surprise on enemy armour.
Maybe give Germans more panzerfausts (the cheaper version of panzershrek) to balance the bazooka.
Personally I feel handheld AT shouldn't be a thing or very rare, I prefer emplaced AT guns since they make the game feel more realistic.
Sorry for triple post
Nah man, they don't listen to me, they listen to all of us. As long as we are respectful of course with our comments and criticisms. I doubt they are going to listen to someone who insults them or the work they put into this game.
That's the great thing about Black Matter, they do have really good devs who listen to us. Almost every single post I've made in "Report a Problem" forum, they've answered. They are a small team, so I understand problems aren't going to be fixed tomorrow. It may take a couple of months, but they do listen and they do fix things.
The Panther is amazing because it's got great maneuverability. If I need to peace out of an engagement, it's much easier in the Panther then any other Tank in the game. If I get surrounded by AT, I can get out quickly. If I get surrounded by AT in a Tiger, it's almost impossible to get out, because it's so slow, and the tracks and rear of the Tank are such big targets.
I usually use the smoke on the Cobra King to disengage from a fight or smoke out a Tank or support infantry, I never tried using it to cover my advance, I should try that.
+1 Good pointing this out, I didn't think of this.
So the German team has to work as a team to destroy a Tank or two, while the American's get a crutch of 4 rockets and the luxury of using those said rockets against infantry if they want to as well. Makes no sense.
I agree, teamwork makes the dream work, but if one team has to rely on working as a team while the other doesn't, it's a huge disadvantage.
