I would say bino's and stop watches are the game.
Rhino Nov 30, 2019 @ 6:34pm
support and watches i'm going for.

well the recon squad is also relying on supply drops to build garrisons. so if you do counter recon you should be able to pin point their location and neutralize. The issue imo is that people only defend by sitting on the strong point instead of patroling. so it very easy to get out flanked. and yeah the redeploy meta sucks and shouldn't be encouraged. at the same time if the recon squad looses the abiklity to help the team it would only increase the ammount of people that only pick it for the Sn1ps0r experience wich is always terrible.

They are potentially the most powerful class, yes. Not just because of spawns, but also because recon is everything in HLL.

Since they have the sniper, however, they are frequently blocked by players that focus primarily on KDA. Too often at least one recon squad is completely silent and has almost no impact on the game.

the recon squad literally need supplies being slowly droped from the sky to build a garrison; you have plenty of time to counter it; the redeploy meta will happen in any case, a sneaky infantry squad can do literally the same thing without even gettins supplies from the sky, so what we should just stop garrisons from being built?

Seems reasonable to me^

My suggestion for this has always been to limit the placement of garrisons to friendly territory only and restrict OPs to the column/row of the attack sector and all friendly territory. Recon would get an exception by being allowed to place OPs as far forward as the next attack sector.

Without the redeploy meta we would most likely never see another 20 to 30 minute game...not saying thats a bad thing.
Lol recon dropping garrisons is a joke, you could call in marker on that supply and drop a bomb or arty in that vicinity.. or send two guys to take it out.

You’re better off making 2 man standard squad and dropping secret garrisons in the cap sector.

Only thing recon is effective in is trolling hq or knocking out garrisons that normal infantry can't get to.

IMO squad leader is the most powerful and versatile role in the game. Recon is only powerful if you know what you're doing.

Indeed and support is second only to the SL, at least in relation to how the game works now with the redeploy meta.

Agree with your first, recon has no business dropping garrisons.

Disagree with the "only" part of your statement. Recon can be brutally useful when used properly to relay cords to ARTY. True they are great for taking out enemy spawn points, however when they can see one or more, plus enemy INF on a point they can call in the strike and shred the point.

Also, don't underestimate the power of binoculars. Not only for relaying info to command, arty, SL's and tank crews, but for locating enemy outposts and garrisons. Success may vary, but it's not uncommon for me to destroy a half-dozen or more outposts/garrisons in one match when playing recon.

Just gonna say that I think that is a great idea. Just cos I prefer the big fights instead of backend breakthroughs that happen with forward garrisons.

I would say teamwork.
