too bad that there are no Bots. I really want to play this but dont have Time or want always play with others... too many Games nowadays just dont offer any sort of Bots, seems like i stick to Insurgency: Sandstorm.

Just want to chime in that I agree. All multiplayer games should have bots. Some of us want to play these types of games, but not all of us have the time to put in to be competitive, or we simply want the option to play a game like this at a more casual level. If BF games had bots I would probably play them a hell of a lot more than I do.

Battlefield 1942 to Battlefield 2142 offer bots. :D Just not the ones using Frostbyte Engine.

This ^^^^.. Bots are a god-send once the community dries up with players..at least the money spent can be used fighting bots.. and eventually..it will dry up.. THEY ALL do.. jus'sayin

Agreed. Rising Storm is one of my favorite games, but as a lawyer with 2 small kids (and living in a distant time zone), I literally only play the game on private bot servers. I bought CoD WII a couple months ago and haven't touched the multiplayer - no bots. This game looks amazing - and so refreshing when everything else I find on subject is either CoD style hopping-shooters, or from 2013 - but bots are a make-or-break for me.

This was a pretty big discussion in the Rising Storm 2 forums last year

Lots of folks reeee'd at the suggestion but I think it is a good suggestion - especially if the game has a low playerbase.

But I suppose scripting AI to navigate such a big map would be pretty hard.

You bet, if only machine learning was more commonly available. Literally the only thing that makes bots so useless and expensive is the manual coding of behaviors.

I'm not against offline bots in principal, but because of the amount of time it takes it would surely move resources away from other features.

Also like, I give literally 0 farks about anyone's skill level. When yo in my squad it's all happy happy, simple easy to follow directions from me. I don't care if you fail, I'm the SL, winning is my responsibility not my squad's.

For me this game is not about 360 no scoping or my KD, it's about cooperating with people. Hence why I could never be satisfied playing against bots. You can't laugh or cheer with bots. Only people.

I will refuse to buy games that are strictly online only.

I want to buy something that lasts, if it's strictly online then it has an expiration date of whenever the servers and playerbase dies.

I want to be able to play without toxicity, and I want to be able to play and have fun. Getting constantly destroyed by some toxic veteran is not fun.
