Utah Beach not great
The map is a beautiful map and once you get about 25 minutes in the combat gets intense but.... The point of Utah beach was to storm the beach. I played as the Americans and we just ran right through the beach right through half the map until we got to the chapel and that was our first contact. Im not sure if the devs have plans to move the German spawn points closer to the beach to actually defend the beach or if there will be a different game mode that will suit this map better. I do love the map itself though and they did a great job with the level design, I just wish that it had more of an actual Dday feel at the start.

The D-day feel will come from the Invasion mode where you actually do have to storm the beach, this current one is really about securing the beachhead, which many who were at Normandy might say was the most important thing. After all, its one thing to land, its another to hold.

Read the release notes FFS. It's simple.

At ease your ignorance, entitled turd.

I said this before. They should of waited to drop Utah with invasion mode. One of the cool things about this game is playing real WW2 battlefields out. Utah beach in warfare mode just doesn't feel right. Kind of disappointed too. I guess if it gets people back into the game, that's cool, but I really don't think Utah beach in warfare mode is going to keep people playing. There were far more pressing issues to deal with then dropping a new warfare map.

I disagree. No matter how exciting the mechanics are, it eventually gets utterly boring running only a handful of maps over and over. More maps are absolutely needed to keep people interested.

Or just look at it this way from an imagination stand point, we have just successfully taken the beach but must now continue through the country side as we push the enemy back....It's easy to fill your own narrative with the imagination. It will come. If you do get to the beach what's cool, you can see NPC driven vehicles making their way to the beach.

They should have waited to released the map. Im not bashing the map or the game becuase its one of the best WW2 games I have ever played and I want the game to succeed, but to release a map like this with the current game mode is kind of dumb. Alot of people that stopped playing got on today to play in hopes of getting back into the game were disappointed and will probably never even play again. It was a huge disappointment and honestly is a little boring. After about 20 minutes things start to pick up which is great fun but it shouldnt take 20 minutes of walking to get your first contact. You can all think Im an entitled polished turd for having an opinion which is fine. Im not one of the guys bashing the game giving it ♥♥♥♥ reviews and Im also not a fanboy who will get down on my hands and knees and raw dog with the devs. I just simply stated my opinion of the map.

It's like other's said before. Beach landing will come in the future with implementation of transport vehicles. Still the game is EA people tend to forget this... Current map plays like a "later that day" version of the invasion which is absolutely fine if you'd just start to think about it one second! The map itself is the best dday map I've ever seen in any ww2 game. I played about 30 minutes today and it was the sh**- So immersive and exciting - Dev's definitely know what they do! This update and current map release got them Dev's and the game into a really great spot if you ask me.

also like i said its a great map. If they wanted the "later that day" feel or even just until the new game mode is out they should have had the American spawn points further up not in the water before the beaches.. Also this is feedback for the devs to possibly change the spawnpoints for this game mode. Im sure the map will still stay in both game modes. People hop on here insulting everyone with an opinion like were bashing the game. Some people are just bashing it and have no criticism. I said the game is great, the maps are great, and I want the game to succeed. The devs believe it or not actually need peoples thoughts and complaints ESPECIALLY in early access. ALOT of people tend to forget about that!

Yeah, see, I'd disagree. I've got 150+ hrs into the game and Foy and St. Marie continue to be a blast for me. The battles are always exciting when you get good teams facing off. That's just my humble opinion. I certainly respect yours as well.

I think not only implementing the Luchs, Stuart and adding in the Sd.Kfz. 250, M3 would of made the current maps more exciting.

I dunno, I just think Utah was a bad idea to release before Invasion. I truly believe a more urban map, such as Carentan or the Battle of Aachen would of been more fitting, and made the current weapon's available far more satisfying to use (Looking at the Thompson and MP40).

Well, the current maps already do that. St. Marie Dumont was only 3 miles away from Utah Beach and was liberated the day after the landings. Like the OP said, it's a beautiful map, noone is denying that. (I thought the boats with men inside them were actual players coming ashore). Just would of preferred a different map choice over Utah.

Utah is going to be perfect for Invasion mode. I mean, I'm not gonna drop the game or anything because they choice to release it now, I think the new patch, aside from Utah, is great. I just understand the disappointment from the OP and others.

Everybody seems to be obsessed about being gunned down on a beach by MG's ...
And they cant release all kinda maps like Carentan, as it comes with the British forces.
You got another fab map ... And you whine like spoiled kids ... Sigh

Utah is tied to Sct Mare du Mont .. There is a plan behind it all (Invasion mode)... You cant have it all at once.
