Why are the official servers empty

Why are the officials servers empty, I log into to play but all the official servers show zero players.

I've logged out and in again multiple times and still showing the servers empty. Is no one playing right now or is my game bugged?

I just played on a empty official server only could log in as a commander

I was forced to refund the game. I really, really enjoyed it (almost enough to not refund despite playing on a "German Only" server w/ 100 ping) but there were ZERO US servers with more than 10 players in-game on a Saturday, which should be primetime gaming.

I'm itching to play it so bad I'm about to re-buy it and play on the German speaking server because I loved the 1.9 hours I put into it. I don't know why the game seems to have a decent standing EU population, but the US/NA population is entirely non-existent. It makes no sense!

I am in Australia and I can get into at least 3 full US servers. Aussie server/s are only populated at night and weekends....

2-3 East US servers have a steady population of 96-100 until around 5-7 when work times come up. I don't know why you couldn't see these servers but they are there, and certainly busy.

That's so strange as I couldn't see a single US populated server. Was my browser bugged? That's a big deal if so, as it gave me the impression there was no US population, and made me refund. Other buyers won't take the time to come to the discussion board, so that is really going to harm the population..

I'm re-buying it now. Let's see if there are US servers..

I thought I read that there was a bug that would make you not see populated servers. I don’t remember if there was a fix for it though

Click the "help" button in the server browser for a possible workaround (Steam settings, max ping to 3000 or lower). There are definitely populated US servers. Just refreshing the server browser multiple times works for some. Hopefully we'll see a fix for this soon.

Yeah pretty sure it's still a bug; there's around 500-1,000 people on normally.

Refreshed the browser a bunch, and boom! Added 3 US servers to favorites that were all 99/100. Had a blast for the last couple hours. Thanks guys!!

If you want to check the HLL servers outside of the game, try:
https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/search?sort=-players&game=hll

That'll display all servers sorted by current population. You can easily add a filter for USA only or limit the search to at least a certain number of players. You can then check that you are seeing the same in game and if not, try the recommended fix(es).

dude same its so annoying theres only ever 3 servers up 2 that are already full and the 3rd one is 100 ping

Bought the game a couple of days ago. There are only 3 servers and two of them are never populated. The only server that has players is still quiet empty. I have only seen maximum 10 people. Such a shape for such cool game. Is that a bug? I see people talk about solutions like refreshing. I tried all and it does not work

hell let loose has official servers!? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, i had no idea... the 50 constantly-full community servers meant i never even checked.

I don't know where I can find the comunitu servers. I had to refund the game. however, if I can find the comunitu servers I will buy the game again

i get alot of servers with 80 to 90 plus players with 150 to 200 ping in south asia. There were even more when update 10 was released was really hard to get in a server cause all the servers that were running the new maps were full.
