The game needs more new content. its a little light right now. It gets a little repetitive. This will get better with new content, maps, modes etc.

Those numbers dont add up, i just opened the game and checked and there are atleast 5 full servers and 20 or more servers populated. im guessing around 700 players.

Yup, definitely something wrong with the steam charts reporting, just checked myself too and there are at least 800 players on at the moment (just quickly adding up the larger populated servers)

I played at this time and there where at least 3 or 4 full server. (Germany)
