Is this game more "casual" or "realism" based?

My roommates and I are looking for a new game to play and this caught our eye. We don't really have the time for something super in depth like Arma or Squad. Is this game casual enough for us or is it more of a simulator or something?

It's got the mechanics of Squad when it comes to the map screen/resources but the gunplay reminds me of Rising Storm 2. If you've never played RS2 I'd say it's in the middle of the whole casual vs realism. Realistic in how you can get shot from an area where you may not see your enemy but quick enough to where you can get back in the fight quickly. It all depends on the map. Running and gunning won't work here. Competent leaders will also affect your experience.

Casual enough I'd say. Not like cod or bf, but you can still focus on pew pew if you like.

One shot from a bullet is enough to kill you often enough. No bullet sponges here.

With the mechanisms of SQUAD

Just buy Battlefield.
This game is a Mil-Sim (even if most of the idiotic community wont understand that).
Only one game mode at the time and it feels more "casual" - but i hope they will finaly add the new game mode for more teamplay and realism.
Communication makes 80% of the game.

If you dont talk, dont buy the game and ♥♥♥♥ off. Because ppl who dont talk destroy the gameplay.

Currently extremely casual (arcade). Will it change towards more realism over time? It definitely will if there's an SDK at some point and the modders do their DH-type magic.

HLL milsim xDDD
Arma is a FPS milsim
SQUAD / P.S / HLL are hardcore immersive military FPS but by no means military simulators
Why Arma is a true FPS game milsim, for the simple reason that the game can be played almost like VBS or Spartacus
Squad / P.S / HLL can not claim the name of military simulator

You can walk across areas and the only hits you take you'll crouch, ignore incoming fire and wait for a medic. You can stand up, pop off 4 roudns and duck again if you want.

It's not like PS where exposing yourself for 10 seconds will get you KIA back the drawing board.
