Squad menu, how to get to it while alive?

How do I enter this menu while I'm alive? Mostly wondering in case I have to kick someone from the squad while leading. I have tried every button.

not possible. you have to be dead. which sucks.

To kick you press TAB and then select squad I believe

Thats the general kick option. I think 80% of the player in your team have to agree.
If you want to remove someone from your squad, you need to be dead. Then there is this red X behind his name. But he blocks the class until he is dead.

This is sort of problematic as the gameplay is dependent on getting specific roles to do some precise things, so what if the support guy doesn't know english you can't get him to put his supplies to get the engineer who is larping as a bunny in an open field somewhere to build nodes or whatever. They need to be kicked now and it's already enough waiting to get someone else to redeploy or die and redeploy and then fill the spot and spawn in. Or is the idea to make redeploying a frequent part of the gameplay?
