The only thing that could be improved is the handling of the bipod (legs) of MG. Too often its a fiddling thing to find a position where the MG is useful, either because the MG points in some crazy directions or your sunk in the Ground for example. As well i think the Gras should be a bit transparent in front of you (about 2m) as in RL you have two eyes and a thin obstacle in front of you is never blocking your view 100%.... As well a far point of focus normally makes thin things near your eyes blurry... In some maps the MG is close to usless because of the gras... IMO
For the tracers. Without them the MG would be to OP. On the other hand right now they are useless for what they actually meant to be, tracing... lol
Why not add tracers to the sniper rifle too.
;)
I like to set up on one of the tank traps as American on Omaha, try it..its actually pretty good. Right off the start of the round just start scanning the cliffs. Help your tanks spot the enemy positions. Even if you arent getting the kills you are directing attention towards the enemies you are spotting.
You think MG gunners are ninjas on the battlefield? or is it more like: when a MG opens up you can hear exactly where its coming from for miles?.. regardless of tracers.
When an mg is going off, it is not easy to make pinpoint shots due to the weapon recoil and amount of dirt/smoke coming out or kicked up by the weapon. Tracers are used to help the gunner shift the fire to the target, and shows his buddies where the enemy is.
Tracers are not used by snipers as they are using a highly accurate weapon with well zero'd optics making it pointless.
I am not the realism gestapo like many others in the discussions (Cough tanks cough cough), I get the game should be fun. But I mean this is based on real weapons and actual combat. So you'd want to stick to some elements of how these things actually work in the game.
Otherwise why dont we put in space ships and orbital bombardment, cuz that would be cool too.
Because that is what reality is like
