Seen that, and they did predict armored core VI. though the release date time is way too off. Still hoping for Code Vein 2

Prototype was a good franchise and despite doing good on sales, developers thrashed the whole project and fired everyone that worked on it due to "didn't make as much money as we wanted to".

Propably why we might not see Code Vein 2.

Despite being a decent game which could be improved, it wasn't a best seller.

Therre won't be a Code Vein 2 because Code Vein was just an one-and-done project made by Bandai Namco aimed at milking Soulsborne fans a final time given how (at the time) From Software was done with Dark Souls. That's why the twist at the end and the best ending are just a God Eater ads and their next project was Scarlet Nexus.

Code vein sold 3 mill copies. I think its pretty success. The only reason they wont do a sequel because souls like genre isnt as big as before. Which kinda make me sad because Code vein is my most favorite souls-like

All my homies play souls-like and I have played the DS trilogy over 10 times already, not to mention BB, Sekiro and ER. The mere fact that these games are in a separate category already says a lot

nope. bandai got a lot of franchise and new ideas of games to expand their IP repertoire. cv doesnt quite popular so might as well makes new IP which get higher chance a break instead of modest number of selling.

dark souls is hugely popular while this is inspired by souls and got a lot of similarity system to souls, there is aspects of this game which stray so far from souls eventho thats one of the critical point of souls success which is : grim story, lore, character yet beautiful world also with fragmented storytelling. this game on the other hand got very hopeful story and character in dark-edgy lore with direct storytelling. also overall design is a lot worse like environment, monsters, bosses, and level design is a farcry. also probably the most important one is multiplayer, in souls you can send sos while playing at the same time, here you have to stop doing anything, in souls you can pvp or invade while here is not at all. one thing prevent my friends from playing despite they love anime is that the game oversexualize girls not to mention mods is plague with it makes me even hard to recommend to them.

so yeah tldr : this game is not even close to souls while the game aiming for souls market which is a failure marketing. bandai probably know this. i'm 99% sure this game wont get sequel. if i bandai i'll make a new title based on this game but better design and a more clear cut market aim

Well, based on leaks for 2022, at the moment we have: Tekken 8 page in Steam, a vacancy for a position for Little Nightmares 3, Armored Core page in Steam, Dragonball: The Breakers, rumors about dls for Elden Ring. And we also have a bunch of requests for Code Vein 2 in ALL social networks related to the promotion of the game (twitter, youtube, steam page etc.) which people write to this day. There's always a chance.
I haven't lost the hope since the release of the game.

If the leaks are accurate Code vein 2 should be announced right now, the leaks predicted AC6 correctly, so I still have hope.
