Still Full Price?????
Come on now...It's been two years and it's not like you devs are still publishing content for this game. Why is it still full price? It's $20 brand new on console. The season pass is also the same price, $24.99, so the entire game is still cheaper to buy on console.

I mean, the standard edition on PS and Xbox is still $50 regular price. It's on sale right now but the deluxe edition is still $80 on both consoles. Many games don't have price drops over time but they do go on sale. I think Code Vein was just on sale a week or 2 ago.

Definitely not $50. You can get the standard edition for either console right now for $20 new or $18 used. The game is almost 2 years old. Even G2A and CDKeys are over $50 for standard edition. Never seen a game still run for full price after this long, except for Nintendo Switch games like Mario Odyssey and BotW, still full price and 3 years old. Doesn't make sense. I'll keep waiting for a sale that drops it to console prices, but I'm not holding my breath. Scarlet Nexus is on it's way to release so I guess that will do until CV drops in price.

Well I was just referencing what's on the Playstation store and Xbox store. It's true you can get the physical edition for $18 and $20 at Gamestop. Steam only sells digital games and they are always more expensive than physical edition games probably because of the convenience. So I think it's more of a physical vs. digital thing more than anything.

I don't have a Switch so Idk about their prices, but from what I understand Nintendo first-party games usually don't get price cuts.

I mean, isn't that how the market works? It stays at the same price and changes only for sales, or if you buy a used copy on the ebays and amazons. I rarely see a permanent price drop for games. The only time I saw it was for Tekken, their excuse to sell these overpriced pay2win season passes

Actually I do think we see price drops for older games. At least used to.

But I guess the point is more, as long at is sells at this price, it will stay at this price ... Price will drop once the game stop selling I would say. The game isn't that old either, last DLCs were less than one year ago, so no real surprise here.

Wait for a sale. Why would you buy a 2+ year old game at full price?

Exactly my point. Why is a 2 year old game still full price to begin with?

2 years is not a long time. I would understand if the game was, like, 5+ years old, but in CV's case, not enough time has passed to warrant a drop in price.

The Digital Deluxe version is literally on sale 60% off on Humble right now. My price is 68% off at $25.59 with Humble Choice.

I was going to mention something like this as well. I just got the game, after playing it on the XGP with, along with the DLC (for the cores and gifts). but the sale ends really soon (about 11 hours at time of post)

Buy it off CDkeys or something its cheaper

These days a lot of legal digital sale platforms don't drop their base price anymore. Instead they just increase the sale amount overtime because bigger discount sale numbers attract more buyers. Be aware though some scummy companies raise the price just before a sale to achieve a bigger discount number.

steam info id, keeps a track of the changes in the price (on steam), so we should know if the price has raised higher than it normally was.

Not everyone will check though. Not saying it will happen for this game but i have seen it done in the past with a few games same time as a sale.
