So...builds?
Kinda want to know what builds people come up with so far, specifically stuff that's fun or highly functional in some way. I got a few.

STR build - Obviously, focuses on big weapons, and classes that synergize well with it. Would be mostly pure offense, so defense would consist primarily of heavy armor. Haven't tested it yet.

Sword build - Build using one handed swords and a few other abilities. Obviously, the main blood code is prometheus due to its stats. Quite fun, especially once you manage to quick evade, even though that usually means nerfing your equipment a little.

Caster build - Primarily using Queens Ribcage right now. Focuses primarily on offensive ranged spell-type weaponry. Secondary emphasis on anything that helps get ichor back, including my weapon. Thorn type veil was great for early game, but with the expensive (and powerful) abilities of the ribcage, had to switch to a raven-type for the better ichor drain effect.

Thoughts? Ideas? Own builds? Cries of outrage?

My dex build:

Weapon: Executioner (With fortification [One Handed Sword])
Veil: Venous Claw (With fortification)
Blood Code: Heimdall
Passive: One-Handed sword mastery, Mind/Vitality up, Mind/will power up, strength/dex up
Gifts: Phantom Assault, Severing Abyss, Restorative Offering, Blood Sacrifice, Bridge to Glory, Cleansing Light, Sacrifical Edge, Lightning Weapon (Change weapon buff depending on boss/enemies)

It's a quick, damage dealing build. With S tier in dexterity. It's not necessarily the best build, but I enjoy it and suits my playstyle. Also, the weapon and veil suit my general character :heartmia:

Before I just ran 2-handed sword build with Final Journey before the nerf.

I run this build[sethclydesdale.github.io] which focuses on magic and high ichor restoration. You can find some other builds people have come up with on there as well.
PiroMonster Feb 1, 2020 @ 6:45am
Weapon: Obliterator Axe (Fortification)
Veil: Ivory Grace (Fortification)
Blood Code: Queen Slayer
Passive: Swift Destruction, Halberd Mastery, Strength/Willpower up, Mind/Vitality up
Gifts: Severing Abyss, Flashing Fang, Final Journey, Modest Offering, Adrenaline, Bridge to Glory, Bloodsucking Blades, Overdrive

Like Void God I also ran a 2-handed sword build with Final Journey before the nerf, personal favorite was Argent Wolf Brand. It really was, objectively, the best way to play since you had the highest damage and could also use the heaviest veil for the highest damage reduction.

How this build plays out is that you get the boss to half health and while they're powering up you turn on Final Journey plus any buffs that ran out, then you have a Flashing Fang + Severing Abyss combo for ~50k (on the training dummy) to quickly finish them off, Bloodsucking Blades makes sure you gain enough ichor for all of this. Main weakness is its low damage reduction, but with Final Journey you have an extra opportunity to get to max health plus getting the quick dash. Really shouldn't struggle against the general mobs, you have a fast enough roll and it does plenty of damage to take down just about anything even with just the regular buffs. It's all physical too, so no need to worry about any elemental resistances.

Personally recommend going with Yakumo, his Foulblood Barrier can definitely buy you another hit of damage, but I go with Io because I find Yakumo's exploration lines a bit annoying and her Sympathetic Boon helps about as much.

Vergil Build:
Weapon: Executioner
Veil: Night Thorn
Blood Code: Achilles
Passive: Strength/Willpower, Mind/Willpower, Dexterity/Willpower, Revenant's Ambition
Gifts: Tranquil Slice, Dancing Fireblade, Shifting Hollow, Phantom Assault, Serene Stance, Restorative Offering, the other two can be anything else but I go with hunting feast and overdrive.

This build was mainly built around Tranquil Slice, Dancing Fireblade and Serene Stance as well as Vergil from DMC. This build is even better if your character looks like Vergil. The functional part of the build is fast dodging, constant damage and rapid slashes.
Weakness: Low Ichor Stock

Main Fighter Build:
Weapon: Executioner [stun]
Veil: Night Fang
Blood Code: Prometheus
Passive: Improved regeneration, One handed sword Mastery, Tirelessness, Debuff Build Up
Gifts: Iron Will, Phantom Assault, Overdrive, Cleansing Light, Blade Dance, Adrenaline, Hunting Feast, Numbing Mark.

This is my common fighting build. The purpose of this build is for a combination of defence, offence, survival and debuffs. Having Executioner with stun, Numbing Mark and Debuff Build-Up can be an effective combination against most enemies and bosses as it gives you time to re-apply gifts, regen or deal more damage.
Weakness: Requires a lot of gift management. Numbing mark is important as it rapidly builds up the stun debuff so when it's recharging it makes it difficult to stun an enemy.

This is the build I use for pretty much anything. Completed Knight Monarch Conqueror +10 with it as well. Even though there are a lot of builds with better damage, I'm most comfortable with this one.

If you need to take a closer look at gear or gifts, here is a link for builder. https://sethclydesdale.github.io/code-vein-builder/?build=IIBgPgwgTG7AjGYAWWTwFEbAByXtvAJxgBiUJ5AzGVeOahHhCRPPfEA

Guess ill share my 1H Sword build here as well.

Blood Code: Ishtar

Weapons: Inferno Blade Fortification +10 and Dammerung Fortification +10

Inferno Blade is Rather light giving me Quick dodge and lets me make use of Swift Destruction and it gives a Fire Weapon buff when you use the Heavy Charge attack. Giving you a Potential skill slot if the enemy is weak to fire anyway, It also has the same move set as Argent Wolf Blade. Argent Wolf Blade is not a option for me because it makes my dodge normal.

Dammerung i use simply because the charged Heavy attack gives you a Free Iron Will buff for a bit more Def.

Blood Veil:
Ivory Grace Intensification +10, Simple because its the best Blood Veil to use when you use Damage buffs like Bridge of Glory.

Passive Skills:
Stregth / Dexterity UP, Mind / Fortitude UP, One-Handed Sword Mastery and Swift Destruction.

Skills:
Savage Dive: Because its really good gab closer and does a good bit dmg. (Only use it when the target is stationary if you plan to hit it fully.

Circulating Pulse: Simple your Damage deal Skill

Gift Extention: We will run a few buffs, so having them not run out that fast gives you more time to use ur dmg skills.

Bloodsucking Blades: To get Inchor back faster. ( Can be changed if you want, i simply like to get inchor back fast.

Bridge of Glory and Andrenaline: Simply ur selfbuff dmg skills.

Somatic Zeal: Gives you Str and Dex for the duration ( Nice to have since it will boost ur STR to A+ and the 1H sword we using has a Scaling of A+ on Str. But you can swap it if you need something else. ) But change it for any Heal skill if you do Coop, Just to not let the other player Die =D

Last: Any Elemental weapon buff. Depending on the Boss you fight ( IMPORTANT The 1H Sword can buff itself with a Fire buff by Charging the heavy attack so if the boss you fight has a Fire weakness you can just use the self buff of the Sword and have another free skill slot =D )
