Should New Game Plus Enhanced get rebalanced?
The leap from NG to NG+Enhanced is too big for me, personally. It's still doable but every single enemy now hits like a truck and are basically damage sponges, especially at the area before the final boss. It's not that insane since you can still have your partner with you, but less tanky companions like Louis are basically dead weight since you need to res them all the time.

And the fact that most enemy can kill you in 1-3 hits really screw up the game for me since fast enemies that spam attacks are now a lot more harder than slow enemies with strong hits. To give an example, I now have a lot more problem fighting the 2 Boreal Brutes mini boss in the Depths than fighting Ornstein and Smough v2.0 main boss since the Blade Bearer is less spammy than the Brutes and the Cannoneer is easy to dodge.

But all this is just how I feel. Should I git gud or do you guys also think the dev should do a little rebalance?

Well that's why it called Enhance
Otherwise you can just choose plain NG+

The weak mooks are ~~a bit~~ damage sponges, but they're otherwise fine.

You can do it! Don't give up!

Well, I wanted the challenge and I thought it will be like the NG+ difficulty increase like the souls game. I just didn't expect it to be this extreme.

At least I can still have my Foulblood Barrier and Bridge to Glory.
I'll probably manage but I definitely won't be increasing the difficulty for a while lel.

Go prometheus and run invis (Heimdall's gift) and it's easy.

I feel the same at first, but you will get used to it after a while. I'm doing fine after changed my strategy to dodge everything and kill them as fast as you can. The Bridge to Glory skill certainly helps a lot in my case.

Thats what i was thinking during my 1st ng+ run, it was brutal but then i created a good build that does kill most bosses in 1min or 10 sec for some.

Honestly just take your time and test lots of blood codes.

You will get something good soon or later. Have fun:steamhappy:

First and 5th NG+ with enhanced scaling has a steeper scaling. Read it in the game or was it on the site i cant remember.

NG+ enhanced becomes a lot more doable if you have a good build. at this point it's pretty much a must if you don't want to struggle. also learning to use perry (i completely avoided this in my first run).

gotta say i agree on the boreal brutes mini boss tho, wiped on that mini boss for over an hour despite summoning players to help me each attempt... absolute hell

Boreal Brutes are painful. There's a small, legit trick though.

When they ice-buffed up, if you can land enough 'damage' on their back (specifically, the hairy-ice-spikes on their spine and broad shoulders), you can break the ice buff and remove their defense. Not too sure of the threshold, I've done it with a single Ember Reversal and breaking it. I've also had to do it with several combinations of sword Slash + Pierce attacks.

It took me just a couple more tries perfecting dodge-attack timing to beat them once I realised it can be done. The goal is pretty much just keep hitting them on their back. You got a tiny window to do it while they're flailing around with their claws, but I'm not sure if that's doable with a 2-hander unless they're targeting your helper/AI

Yeah, I managed to beat Blade Bearer and Cannoneer in 2 tries in NG+E but I only beat the Boreal Brutes by luck after countless attempts. It was challenging but not exactly fun. The Brutes just spams any ability they had and there are a few times where they use their ice armor buff again seconds after I managed to get the buff off. I don't think I have this much problem in NG with them but in NG+E they are basically broken.

I'm not too sure myself but I think the threshold is around 10k in the first NG+E. It usually take around 2-3 flame barrages for it to break and my barrages does around 4-5k damage if all of it hit the target so I figured its around that range. Dealing with one of them is okay but 2 at the same time is pure hell lol.

Enhance game + is what supposed to be the default Souls-like difficulty, but the normal mode is there to help people enjoy the story.

In Enhance mode you only focus on actual viable "meta" builds, there's a plenty of those. For me i don't see many differences between normal and enhance, apart from normal mobs being more dangerous, but those were never a problem, unless some annoying invasion.

And considering that you can start NG+ without +, with same normal mobs, nerfing Enhanced difficulty is pointless, since the main point is to add some challenge.

Rebalancing is not nerfing everything, it goes both ways. My problem with NG+E is that the enemies that managed to spam attack the most are now by default the most dangerous ones. For example, Boreal Brutes are more of a threat than the Successor of the Breath, 2 teleporting knights at the Cathedral are more challenging than the Argent Wolf Berserker etc, etc.
