missing cross in the chambers

Has anyone ever had the cross not spawn in the chambers?

In my current run, the whole level felt "off". Generally, if a wide corridor goes north, it leads to massive rooms of monsters. But if east or west, it leads to smaller treasure rooms.

This one map seemed short. The side corridor lead to monsters. Nice treasure rooms were in the middle of big monster rooms... and I never found a cross anywhere. (The 2nd cross was indeed in the final room, but there was no 1st cross anywhere to be found)

Yes, it happens occasionally. But it happens in less than 5 % of the runs and I've never found less than 3 crosses over both maps.

Technically, as long as you at least two crosses for the boss you should be fine. You just have to time their effect better.
