Is it worth upgrading just for the Arc Scourge Weapon?

I'm loving the game so far but money is tight So I skimped on the Omnisiah Edition... Love the game though and not really sure if I'm missing anything really by not having that weapon.

Thoughts / Opinions?

considering the severe lack of melee weapons in the game, youd carry it through the whole game as your second weapon. Which only become more pronounced with the end tier talent for explorers that buffs you if you got no ranged attached.

Arc Scourge is a melee weapon wielded by ranged slot. Which is a bonus for Explorator top-talent.

You're not missing anything. By 30% in, you'll be murdering bosses before they can even get a hit in on you anyway.

Your missing a weapon that makes the first few missions a absolute cake walk, It's fun to use but that is about it, It gets out damaged in terms of AoE even considering it's for a melee explorator still it's damage is laughable at higher stages, So your not missing anything.

The game is already too easy tbh. You won't enjoy the game more with an even better melee weapon.

The art book is very nice and the soundtrack is solid, I wouldn't buy it just for a throwaway piece of kit. Especially if the extra ~£5 isn't going spare.

The sound track is great, actually. Also, it's an opportunity to support dev's and show, that good games in WH40k licenses could be profitable.

I bought it for the soundtrack, the weapon was sort of nice, tho.

I have it and the arc scourge is cool it is a melee weapon that can hit multiple enemies and ♥♥♥♥ so its cool but you should get it for the short ebook and soundtrack in my opinion.

theres way too few options for melee weapons, and arc scourge helps in that regard. But melee still feels way weaker than some of the stronger guns like the eradication gun that hits all foes in a line.

It's a good weapon for close combat for sure from the start (although you'll have limited CP during that time), especially useful when you can use it for free with machine spirit (and a ton of CP) during the later missions (mobs) too. But simply upgrading for the item err, well.. It's your money ;)

I wouldn't say just for the weapon. However the soundtrack, short story, and artbook (which includes a lot of lore for the game) are fantastic and definitely make the purchase worth it.

Ended up buying it and do enjoy having the Arc Scourge as an energy melee weapon. It's powerful on many endgame mobs and adds a needed buff for the close combat tree. Hopefully they will continue to add content for more replayability but its a solid fun game as is.
