Any way to get this uncensored?
Living in Nazi Germany censorship is a constant threat. Any way to get this uncut?
Probably the wrong place to ask but hey :nutcracker:

Okay, tell me if I'm wrong in my understanding of your question: You live in Germany where many games are censored and you'd like an uncensored version of Darkness II correct? If that is your question don't buy off Steam. Obviously it'll give you the German version which will be censored. However, you can always pay for a boxed US version off Amazon or eBay or somewhere. Here on Amazon a download is $7.49 as well: http://www.amazon.com/2K-Games-40884Darkness-II2-Darkness/dp/B006JA7EWW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1389935284&sr=8-2&keywords=Darkness+II
Because Amazon is US based I'd think it's the US version. Just a btw it says you need to be inside the US, change your shipping adress somewhere in the US for the duration of the transaction then change it back. If that does for some reason happen to be the German version go with a boxed version: https://www.google.com/shopping/product/1858232848677782323?es_sm=93&biw=1920&bih=979&q=darkness+II+PC&oq=darkness+II+PC&ei=MLvYUsKaH7THsATGoIEY&ved=0CJoBEKYrMAA
Since it's coming from the US shipping will be a tad more, however since these boxed versions are only $4.99 it'll probably balance out or be a bit more expensive, however if you truely want the uncensored version this is the best route. I hope I helped, if not sorry! :P

Haha, wrong place indeed. Someone might get really stupid and tell you to try something along the lines of googling for, say, darkness 2 uncut patch steam, or something similar. And steam surely wouldn't want you finding something there, oh no it doesn't. So you better forget about the blood and gore, we don't want to have another war on our hands because of you playing these violent games, no-no, understand? We're evil people, rotten to the core. They're protecting us from ourselves.

I didn't imply anything about "god's work". I am also a Christian and I am against censorship of any kind.

Did I imply that you were implying?
I think not.

ok, no problems. Sorry if (I sounded like I am accusing you of anything. I thought you suggested that religious people always want everything censored.

My point was that german censorship is absurd and inconsistent on top of that.
Sometimes they feel like censoring, sometimes they let real borderline movies/ games pass.

That's what you get for having an "Internet Minister" who is aproximatly 60 years old and never touched any "of these new media".

No problem! I'm actually quite interested to hear what happens, so assuming this isn't locked by a mod anyway you could post what eventually happens?

Before you buy an import version of the game on amazon, you might want to re-read this guy's comment. I somehow don't think you got what he was trying to say...;)

So... You're telling him to download a (possibly illegal) patch when a) darkness ii is still $7.49 on Amazon and b) the American version so it's not illegal? I think op did get what he was saying, he used his head tho.

And go to the link on the post, it's a download

Legally they have to cut German games incase the sight of violence makes you want to take over the world again

Yeah, nobody cares about nudity. And tbh nowadays they don´t even care about gore anymore. This year Mortal Kombat X was published in germany - the first MK-mainseries-game ever to be released over here - and fully uncensored. Dying light got a pass as well.

@Loco: tbh even at worst times it was a nuisance - not even real problem, since you should be able to solve it within minutes. Comparing this minor inconvenience to nazi germany shows a real lack of perspective...
