The Darkness 2 Crashing

I just started the game recently and after arriving at the first shop where you have to buy teh eat heart skill. When i click on it the game instantly crashes to desktop and restarts again. Please help i really want to play this game. :(

well uninstalling the game and reinstalling did the trick for me.

Mine crashes at launch lmao. At first I was thinking "How the hell is this game too demanding for my computer?" and then I realized it's a common problem. Misery loves company!

I know it's a bit late but I'll post the solution here anyways for anyone else who had this problem and is seeking answers. One trick that worked for me was to right click on the game in the library, select Properties, go to the Local Files tab, and click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache. It notified me that one file had failed to validate and would be reaquired. After it redownloaded there was no more crashing.

That's usually the first thing I do, but I came across your suggestion before I got to it. Sure enough, one file failed to validate and needed to be reaquired. Hasn't crashed since, so I'm vouching for your solution- it works. Thanks!

Tried that, didn't work :/. Currently reinstalling the game to see if that works.
