Game crashing when i launch

Hi can anyone help me? current issue is i launch the game then go to what difficulty i want to start with then the game crashes operating system is windows 10 so unsure if this is part of the issue? confused & frustrated

I had to re-verify my game files an it worked for me after doing that. Not sure what happened to cause it to crash, but that seems to be the fix for me.
