Building over roads
I want to build an elevated walkway over my service road to join two terminal buildings - is that possible, as at the moment I need to connect the two buildings via a normal crosswalk and have this as effectively two separate buildings.

Secondly the escalators, lifts and stairs, are required to be connected to the same secure zone. Therefore in the current iteration, I'm required to have passengers clear a zone to an unsecured area, then re-pass through a checkpoints to a new security zone in the new terminal. IRL, this is managed through a bridge or overpass without needing to pass through multiple security checkpoints. This is also not reflected in the ground level mechanic when using cross walks.

It is possible to build a bridge. You need a ground level foundation on both ends and then you can drag the foundation on the upper level from one side to the other.

It doesn't work above runways, stands and buildungs. But it's possible over roads, taxiways and even stops and parking lots.

Passengers cannot walk though a secure zone, then leave it to enter another secure zone. Same for staff.
If they want to go to secure zone XY they need direct access to it.

Thanks very much for the reply.

Regarding the crossing of Secure Zones. Is there a way to have the same zone on multiple levels of terminal?
When you build stairs or escalators, they merge. If you only use elevators, they might not.

Ah! That might have been my issue. Will do a test! Thanks.

Cannot seem to make this work. Can you provide a more in depth step by step process?

Another way you could build a bridge is build the "groud floor" of your bridge, build the supposed-to-be bridge on top of it, then demolish the floor below it.

I think I figured it out... here's how I got it to work.

1. Go into 'Planning mode'.
2. Place 'Terminal Foundation' for both levels you intend to build.
3. Draw secure zones on both levels.
4. On the lower of your planned levels, place escalator, stairs or lift in intended location.
5. Secure zones will (as stated above) update to the be the same number.
6. Switch to 'Build planned objects mode' and execute the build.

I found building directly into 'live'/non-planning mode did not work due to 'different zones'.

Thanks for all the help!
