Do you need a check-in Desk per stand?

Hi, I'm getting the "check-in desk blocked by previous flight" error on a lot of my flights because the Passenger service agents can only ever check in a single flight and never 2 flights happening at a similar time. Would it be better to just replace them all with the self-check in stations?

depends, are all your check-in desk connected to that 1 flight? And if so might just be a bug but, normally only one (maybe 2) can connect to a flight. If you don't have enough then that might be the problem. But no you don't need a check-in desk per flight but enough so if 2 flights are happening at the same time there are enough desk available. The self check-in and auto bag drop don't care if there is over lapping flight but kinda ruins the realism cause all the passengers are using self-check-in and not both desk and self.

No, I have so far never connected the check-in desks myself, always letting the game handle that. As for the amount, I guess I just have too few. How many should I have then? As many as I have stands?

If you use baggage system, you needs enough desks for each bay. If you play without baggage services, every desk could be used for any flight.

Per 75 passengers of a flight, one desk will be opened. Means if a flight has 76 pax you need two desks. And desk stay open until the last passenger checked in. So make sure there is no bottleneck in public transit.

If all your flight arrive close to eachother, you may need a lot of staffed desks.

Automaded drops handle 4 flights at the same time. Then you may also need a lot. With them it's hard to calculate, so more is always better. :)
