Tilt Tray isn't working correctly (or I did it wrong)
My tilt tray isn't directing baggage correctly.

I've got two bays. All bags are being directed to the bay on the right. I've got tilt tray setup for "to destination." I've confirmed that that the gate and the check-in desk are both using the left cargo bay. Unloaded luggage from the gate goes to the proper baggage claim.

What isn't happening is the luggage that passes the tilt tray (to the right of the baggage bays and baggage security checks) all goes in one direction.

I've even followed a particular passenger's checked luggage and it goes all the way to the wrong bay.

Ideas? Bug? Me? (game restart has cleared some strange errors, but not in this case.)

I had another bright idea, but it didn't work either. Instead of straight and down, I rerouted up out of the tilt with up routing to the left most bay and down to the right and straight died right there. No joy. Everything still goes down to the right most bay.

Why not consolidate your scanners into one conveyor, then go separate ways?

Are you sure the check-in desks are connected to the correct baggage bays? If tilt trays are set to destination they should route the assigned baggage bay. If they don't do that we would like to see the save so that we can trouble shoot.

I made a double terminal inside a bridged single area with totally separate baggage systems to each terminal or terminal end if you like. The tilt tray, for me, works perfectly when set "To Destination". I must admit I was both surprised and delighted.

I set my tilt to go the same direction as the belt it was placed on. But it correctly routes the secondary terminal baggage to one side when necessary. It may be that yours is not facing the flow of the main belt. I know I have accidentally done this or faced it toward the one I want it to route to. Having it facing the main flow and going with the flow works well for me.

Here are two screenshots showing how the two baggage bays are connected. All traffic flows (at this angle) to the left baggage bay.

I tried that, and it worked, sort of. The tilt trays directed correctly, but the scanners were too slow for all the luggage and that created a huge logjam back to the check-in desks.

I had the exact opposite issue. I built a second cargo bay that wasn't yet connected to a stand or a check in. I built the tilt tray to sort the baggages to the corresponding bay once I have it connected and opened and the tilt tray always sorted one forward, one right. It was set to "to direction" and alle the baggages clearly have the same direction because the second bay wasn't connected or even opened.

Also I have problems with the layout for conveyor belts. For example, you can't let to belts run parallel. Either they get connected at some point or the destination rotates by 180 degrees after laying it down. If you try to run an overground belt over an underground belt then both get connected. You have to keep this in mind when you start your layout.

I think the devs should look at "Factorio" to see how proper belts are done. They way it is now is nearly unusable.

Sorry for the late reply.

You're right about all the problems (no parallel, no multi-level). I think for your switching problem though you should set it to "to destination" instead of left/right. Right-click the tilt tray and choose your option.
