Small check in desks

How exactly do they work? From the dev blog about them it seemed like they would not allow baggage to be checked, but they show a warning that no baggage bay is connected (but there isn't the "connect to baggage bay button like there is for the big check in desk.") Also small commercial stands show a warning that there isn't a baggage bay connected, but I thought that was okay and the passengers would just carry their bags onto the plane. I appreciate the help!!

you need a baggage drop off, it is an object variant you'll find in check in desks

Thanks for the quick reply. When I place it it gives a message that I need self check in kiosks nearby for the bag drop to work, which is why it seems like the small check ins are useless.

Small check ins are for airports without baggage handling (or for the beginning phase)

not necessarily, as long as you have baggage drop nearby then you have a working baggage system

realistically you wouldn't cross half a terminal for a baggage drops so they would have to be near the check in

if you dont have a luggage handling system that takes their bags at the check in desk, dont worry, people will carry their bags to the plane anyway. If you do then make sure the check in desk is linked to the baggage cart zone, the stand is connected to the baggage cart zone, and finally the baggage retrieval area for arrivals is also connected to the baggage cart zone. and the baggage option activated in the operations screen
