Baggage Bay won't activate.

I have baggage bays attached to check in desks but not to stands. I have 28 stands and 14 check in desks. There is no way to know which flight from which stand will be assigned to which check in desk. A desk might check in any stand at any time so you cant assign a certain stand to a certain baggage bay and know the flight on that stand was checked in by the correct desk.

I hope this makes sense and someone has a good answer for me...lol. Thanks.

well you could connect all the stands you want to have baggage services to the baggage bay, and link all the check-in desks to the baggage bay

you also need to connect the baggage bay to a baggage claim area

you may need to use multiple baggage bays for that many stands though

(i got this working but ran into a bug where passengers would not pick up their bags in the claim area, they all just waited there for nothing, while i see their bags just going round and round in the claim area. At least i think thats a bug)

I have 6 baggage bays...so I need to connect everything to everything else? It seems that if you connect the check in desk to a baggage bay, the luggage would go there. It really has no choice since you have to connect it with a conveyor belt. From the baggage bay it should follow the passenger...either to claim or to another flight...again, no way to know what stand they will be getting on. Same with incoming luggage from a flight...it goes to the baggage bay and follows the passenger to claim or to another flight. This whole system makes no sense.
In real life the bag is tagged and goes where the owner goes. The bag dictates the path via the tag.

Hmm. I see what you mean now. There are tilt trays that can be used to control where baggage goes on the conveyor system... but havent tried that yet.


Btw can u help me? When i enable baggage services, passengers wont claim their bags but just keep waiting in the claim area forever. I do see baggage going into the claim area. And its outside secure zone.

Yes, the Baggage system was very difficult to figure out for me. But I install one check in desk for every stand and make sure to assign and connect them both to the baggage bay. The service trucks are the ones that figure it all out. I build my airport VERY symetrically so 12-stands, 12 Boarding desks, 12 Check-In desks, 2 Baggage Bays, 5 (2/baggage bay+1 floater). This game is very rough but so damned addictive.

Other issues I've found? Do NOT reject your initial HR Executives because there will be no new applicants for it. I'm having a hard time creating a second terminal once my first one is up and running smoothly - the pathfinding gets all screwed up. My guess is that you have to grow a single terminal.

I agree Tony...they could take out the check in desk to baggage bay connection because they have belts for that. Really all connections could be taken out because the trucks take the baggage from planes to baggage bays then it goes to a claim area, so why have them be made to connect...

and you cant just offer baggage to medium planes, you have to set up all the commercial. I just tryed again and failed, i'm stuck with small commercial and it sucks. Nothing else to do. total same they made baggage so difficult.
