Huge memory leaks
ACEO seems to be thowing away memory with both hands. If I make a mid-size airport (1000 pax), it runs smoothly, even if I move it up to triple speed. Half an hour later, the game can barely get 10-15 fps, even if I don't make changes to the airport. However, if I then save and reload, the game runs smoothly again, and I can continue expanding. Clearly the game is not un-loading stuff thats not in use, which results in performance getting worse over time, and players thinking that the game is poorly optimized, when in fact the game can probably run smoothly, its just been dumping all the memory needed to do so.

So if anyone reading this is having lag issues, save and reload. It almost always works.

Hi, thanks for letting us know. It sounds serious indeed, we would like to test this out. Could you report the save you are using via this form? Thanks

Done. Issue is ACEO 4928. However, if this is a memory leak issue, then the save game shouldn't matter (in theory). Also worth noting that the hardware you have available is probably a bit more high-end than mine (laptop gamer problems), so to test memory leakage, you will probably have to make a ridiculously large airport and see if saving and re-loading has any impact on performance. Oh, and if the bug report tool didn't give my system specs, here they are:

Thanks for the bug report. Yes, you are right about the save but since we don't know the cause yet and don't really have any more reports on it, it may be related to something on your save. So my guess is that is the best place to start looking. :)

Also thanks for the detailed specs. We have lower end test machines so we will start running tests there. Hopefully we can find the issue asap.
